Chapter 20

My heart continued to shatter as I held in my sobs until I just couldn't anymore. I screamed at the top of my lungs, but nothing came out I was too broken to even scream. The front door opened and I immediately put my guard up ready for a fight my wolf ready to sink her teeth into something. "Relax Elizabeth, it's just me" I heard Eric's voice making my wolf huff I kept my guard up as he came closer to me. "I know you're hurting I'm just here to make sure that you're okay" Eric said as he continued to walk closer and closer to me. I didn't say anything as he walked "How would you feel if you caught your mate with another person" I said my voice shaking with every word.

"I wouldn't know" he said as he put his hands up in surrender I just took a deep breath. "I want to get out of here" I said looking up at him "Take me somewhere far away from here" I said making him stop in his tracks. "You don't mean that" he said trying to change my mind, but my mind was already made. "Yes I do" I said sternly looking up at him his eyes were soft and kind. "Elizabeth, you know I can't do that" he said looking into my eyes to read how serious I was "By the order of your new Luna I beg of you to get me out of here" I said my wolfs voice mingling with mine. 'I don't even want to see Mason's face' my wolf said in my head and I just looked up at Eric.

His eyes fell to his feet as if debating on what to do I just stepped closer to him and grabbed his hand. "Please Eric" I said in all seriousness "Okay Luna Elizabeth" he said in submission. "I will pack my things I just hope Mason is gone by the time we try to leave" I said turning around and heading to the door. "He probably will be" I heard Eric say under his breath, but I didn't care I just kept walking. I quickly packed my bags and met Eric back in the living room he was texting on his phone. I walked over and grabbed his phone out of his hands "You better not be texting Mason or I will kill you myself" I said my tone lethal. "I wasn't" he said trying to grab his phone out of my hands "Promise me" I said holding his phone stronger in my grip.

He sighed and looked into my eyes "I promise" he said and I could tell he was serious. I gave him his phone back and headed for the door, I couldn't feel Mason's presence anymore. I opened it slowly and looked down the hall trying to see if I could see anyone, but no one was to be found. I put my hood up and continued walking Eric followed close behind everyone was too busy paying attention to their daily duties to notice us. I cut through the corridor that leads to the garage to make sure no one could see me. Eric grabbed the keys to my truck off of the hook and walked towards me "We can't take my truck" I said sternly.

He put the keys back on the rack and grabbed a random set of keys "Yes ma'am" he said as he walked towards a black Cadillac. "Who's car is this" I whispered and he smiled up at me "It's mine" he said opening my door I quickly climbed into the beautiful car. I kept my hood up and slipped on my sunglasses as he started the car and backed out of the garage. His windows were perfectly tinted so I didn't have to worry much about being noticed. He pulled out of the drive way onto the main road and sped off quickly headed for god knows where. I just closed my eyes and prayed to never see Mason's face again.

I woke up after I don't know how long, but I could tell by the change of scenery that we were no longer near my packs territory. My pain popped back up into my head thinking of the moment that I caught Mason in. I tried to suppress the memory, but it was slowly crushing me from the inside out. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest each beat making my chest hurt. I took off my sunglasses and wiped the tears from my eyes no sooner then I did Eric pulled the car over to get gas. We were at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere I decided to go to the bathroom before we got back into the car. After I went to the bathroom I went back out to the car Eric was texting on his phone again. I just rolled my eyes and got into the passenger seat who is he texting I wonder? I just brushed it off and decided to try and sleep some more.
