Chapter 22

              ~~~Mason's POV~~~

I paced back and fourth in front of the office door as I racked my brain trying to think. My mind was racing at the possibility of Elizabeth being dead or hurt. I would kill anyone who hurt her with my own two hands and watch as the life slipped slowly away in their eyes. I was broken out of my thoughts as the office door opened. "Come here" I heard the voice of Elizabeth's father calling to me. I walked in slowly and sat down in one of the chairs "What have you found" I asked biting my finger nails in anticipation. "We were able to trace their scents to a motel four hours from here" he said sternly looking at reports from the search party.

"And?" I questioned raising my head to look up at him and Randy "The desk manager said they left together and that they were" he paused for a second. "They were what" I spat through gritted teeth ready to rip that Eric guys throat out for stealing my mate from me. "They were a very cute couple" he said swallowing hard "What!" I yelled slamming my fists down on the desk cracking the wood. "Calm down Son" Chuck said grabbing my shoulder "I will not calm down that's my mate" I said through gritted teeth my wolf joining in on my escapade. "Yelling and punching shit isn't gonna make this situation any better" my mother stepped in grabbing my arm. "Whatever" I said shaking their hands off of me "What do we do now" I asked as I went to sit down.

"The front desk lady heard them talking and said that they were headed further west" Randy said looking up at me. His mate clinging to his arm making me turn my head at the thought of what Elizabeth is doing with Eric. I felt tears pool in my eyes at the thought of her not being with me, but I shook it off and stared back towards the two wolves before me. "We need to make a plan" her dad spoke looking up at me "There should be a town about two hours west of the motel we can go there" I said running my hand through my hair. "We're going to find her" her dad said and everyone nodded in agreement "Okay well let's get started on this plan of ours" I said scooting my chair closer to the desk as Randy rolled out a map on the desk. "Here's the town you're talking about" Randy said pointing to a tiny town on the map "Dad, doesn't Alpha Hunter live in Stephenville" I questioned looking up to him.

"Yeah, but I haven't talked to him in years" he replied also coming to the map to take a look. "Call him" I said with a scoff as I circled the town he shook his head and pulled out his phone. "Hey Hunter, it's Chuck" he said into the phone and I immediately grabbed it out of his hands. "Hunter, it's Mason I need to ask you a favor" I said into the phone and he sighed "Nice to talk to you too" he said making me roll my eyes. "It's about my mate" he instantly got quiet at my use of the word mate. "What can I do" he responded "We think my mate is being held against her will in a town 30 minutes away from you" I said giving him a minute to process. "Mason my pack is the only pack within 500 miles of Stephenville why would they bring her so close to me" he asked prying for more details. "You remember how there have been rogues that move from town to town? Well we think they are settled in Dublin Texas" I replied waiting for his response. "I will look into it how soon will you be here" he questioned and I raised my head to look at the group and they all nodded.

"We're gonna gather up our gear and be there by tonight I will be bringing her family as well as mine" I said into the phone. "How many" Hunter asked and I counted everyone slowly making sure I didn't miss anyone. "8 people" I responded and I heard him sigh before he answered "Okay, I will have the guest cabins ready. Let me know when you're on your way so I can let my pack know". I muttered an okay before hanging up the phone and looking at everyone "Let's go get my girl" I said as I turned on my heel "Our girl" her dad said as everyone began to follow me. We all split our separate ways as we all went to gather weapons and clothing for our trip.

I stopped on my floor and went to go see Marcus and Lacey to let him know he will be in charge while I'm gone. I knocked on the door and Marcus walked out shirtless and yawned. "Yes, Alpha" he said messing with his hair "I'm going to be leaving in search of my mate you will be in charge until I return" I said sternly waiting for his response. "Yes Alpha, how long will you be gone" he questioned looking up at me. "As long as it takes" I said his eyes going wide as I turned on my heel and headed back towards the stairs. Without another word I heard his door shut and I walked up the stairs to our suite to pack my bag. When I entered the suite Roxy jumped up on me and I rubbed her back before kissing the top of her head Elizabeth's scent still lingering in her fur. I moaned at the smell of my mate I shook it off and gave her, her toy and let her play with it before I went into the bedroom.
