Chapter 25

I stood breathless as I watched her even though she looked like hell, but she was still the most stunning woman in the world. "Elizabeth is that you" I asked just to be totally sure "Why do you care" she spat her anger very prominent, but it didn't hold the same power it used to. I cocked my head in disbelief "Why wouldn't I care" I asked again moving a little closer but she stepped back. "Because you don't care about anyone except yourself" she said this time her anger morphed into rage.

I put my hands up in submission "I have no idea what you're talking about Elizabeth" I said trying to calm her down. "I'm done talking" she said spitefully as she rushed towards me once she reached me she didn't miss a beat before she punched me in the face. She started sending jabs at my face and my body as I guarded myself. "I'm not gonna fight you Elizabeth, I know you're pissed off at me but you have to stop" I said trying to get her to stop. She continued blow after blow as I blocked and guarded myself from her assaults. "No I don't, you never stopped so why should I" she stated as she continued throwing in kicks every now and then.

"I have no idea what you're talking about Elizabeth" I said trying not to get angry at the constant pain she was inflicting on my body. "Stop pretending to be the good guy I know who you are Mason and I don't care" she said her punches getting harder and faster. My anger started to boil inside my blood as I reached up and grabbed her hands to stop her from hitting me. "That's enough" my wolf stated as he looked her dead in the eyes. I saw fear flash in her eyes before she slowly closed them and fell into my arms. I grabbed her and steadied her unconscious body standing behind her was none other than Eric.

"What did you do to her" I practically screamed at him "She's okay it's just a sedative trust me she wouldn't have gone quietly if I didn't do that" he said. "Why is she all the way out here in Colorado" I said as I brushed the hair out of her angelic face. "She asked me to get her far away from you after what she saw between you and Kylee" he said putting the syringe back into its carrying case and slipped it into his pocket. "Oh my god fucking Kylee was working with William to get to her I did not want her to do that and I stopped her".

I said as I looked down at her as she slept peacefully in my arms "That's not what she saw" he said looking down at her. "Let's just get her home and when she wakes up y'all can fix things" he said as he turned around motioning for me to follow. I just sighed and swept her up in my arms we walked for about a mile before I saw Eric's car parked on the side of the road. He unlocked the doors and I gently laid her down in the back seat. As I shut the door Eric threw some shorts at me "Thanks" I said as I pulled them up my legs. "No problem, we have a good 6 hour drive and I don't want to see you naked the whole way home" he said making me laugh as I got in the passenger seat. "The only person I want staring at me naked is Elizabeth" I said looking over at him and then looking down at her as he started the car. "Trust me I know" he said as he took off down the road back home.

We finally made it back to my house and I got out and stretched before reaching into the backseat to grab Elizabeth. I walked her into the house and her entire family along with mine were scattered everywhere. Her mother gasped and ran towards me "Oh Elizabeth" she started crying as she ran her fingers across Elizabeth's cheek. "What happened to her" Ross said as he came up to his wife's side. "I don't know all I know is she was very angry and Eric here had to sedate her" I said as I began to walk down the hall to my bedroom. Everyone followed me as I laid her down gently on the bed I let her family see her as I grabbed some clothes and went to take a shower.

I showered in the guest bathroom and got dressed before heading into the master bedroom. "I'm gonna take her to the pack house so the doctors can check her out and see if they can find out what's going on with her" I said to everyone as they all looked at me. "I think that's a great idea Alpha" Chuck said as he looked over at me and I nodded. I slowly approached the bed and gently lifted Elizabeth off of the bed. I carried her to the back door as everyone followed me to the pack house I couldn't take my eyes off of her. We finally approached the pack house after a good 20 minute walk.
