Accident

They reached the Hospital in 15 minutes. They inquired in the reception that one patient was admitted in the hospital a while ago.

Haseena: Pa.... patient ka naam kya hai?

Receptionist: Noor Jahan Malik

Karishma: Ro..... room number??

Receptionist: Woh abhi ICU mei admit hai

Haseena: ICU kaha hai?

Receptionist: Sidhe jaake left waala room

They ran to the ICU. They saw Anubhav sitting there with a creased forehead. He has covered his face with both his palms.
Haseena hurriedly went towards him and sat on her knees reaching till jer face. Her hands moved to his cheeks and cupped them.
Anubhav was seeing in Haseena's eyes.

Anubhav: Has..... haseena ji Am..... ammi

Haseena: Kya huwa hai Ammi ko Anubhav?

Anubhav: Aaj hume Chacha ji ke phone aaya unhone kaha ke Ammi ka acci.....dent huwa hai

Haseena  sat by his side but still clutching his hands.

Haseena: Aapne hume phone kyun nhi kiya? (moist eyes)

Mahipal: Woh karna chahta tha par maine use mana kar diya

Haseena: Par kyun? Aapne hume phone kyun nhi kiya? Aapne kyun nhi kiya?

Mahipal: Haseena ek taraf Mansi bohot ro rahi thi. Anubhav bhi bohot pareshan tha. Aur agar tujhe bata dete toh tujhe bhi toh kitni chinta hoti.

Haseena: Mansi kaha hai?

Mahipal: Woh rahi waha pe baithi hai

Karishma: Maddam sir ka aaj hum Mansi ko ghar le jaaye. Humne dekha hai choti umar mei apni Maa ko khone ka dard ka hota hai. Aur woh toh dusri baar iss paristithi mai hai. Hum use aaj humare ghar le chalte hai

Haseena: J.... ji

Karishma left taking Mansi with her. And then after a lot of requests Haseena send back Mahipal Chacha home as he was also tired.

She came and sat beside Anubhav. And rested her head on his shoulder.

Haseena: Anubhav.... amm....mi theek ho..... jayegi na?

Anubhav: Haseena ji Ammi bilkul theek ho jayengi. Woh toh abhi bohot young hai.

She wrapped her little hand on his arm. She was silently sobbing. She knew that Ammi loved Anubhav more then her like Maa loved Haseena more then Anubhav. But the fear of losing someone special is unbearable

It was 4 in the morning now but the surgery wasn't over yet. They were getting highly tensed. At times, Haseena used to stand up, go near the gate to see her ammi.

It was 6 at Morning, when the Doctor finally came out. They hurriedly stood up.

Anubhav: Doctor Ammi theek toh hai na?

Doctor: Unhe external injuries to utni nhi hai par internal injuries bohot hai. Aur unka pressure badhne ki wajah se she had a brain stroke. Jiski wajah se she may go to coma. Or she may be paralysed.

Leaving AnuSeena in another big shock.

Haseena: Doctor wh.... what are the chances?

Doctor: Any miracle may save her. Aap dono police officers hai issiliye mai aapko yeh baat batata hoon ke yeh ek accident nhi tha yeh ek murder tha. Accident hone se she may not have got internal injuries more, but unhe bohot internal injuries aayi hai.
Humne abhi internal bleeding ko toh stop kar diya hai bit we don't know till when. Agar unhe aaj raat tak hosh nhi aaya then we have to do another surgery.

The Doctor left leaving AnuSeena in another shock.

Haseena: Aakhir kaun hai woh insaan jisne ammi pe hamla karwaya?

Anubhav: Waada karte hai Haseena ji jisne bhi Ammi pe hamla karwaya hai na use hum nark se bhi khojke niklenge aur use aisi saza dilwayenge ke usse uss din pe gussa aayega jis din usne Ammi ko kshati pohunchana ka prayas kiya.

Haseena nodded. Karishma came with Pushpa ji and after a long argument they were finally able to send them home for some rest. They came back home and saw Mansi awake. Maa said Karishma to leave Mansi there.
Anubhav went to freshen up. Mansi was lying keeping her head in Haseena's lap.

Mansi: Didi, Am..... ammi ko kuch hoga toh nahi na?

Haseena: Kuch nhi hoga bacche, ammi kuch hi dino mei bilkul theek ho jaayengi.

Anubhav said while coming out from the washroom.

Anubhav: Haseena ji ab aap jaake fresh ho jaiye. Aur mansi aap humare saath aao aaj dono jija saali milke khaana banate hai. Aur aapki didi ko dikhate hai ke humari cooking skills bhi achi hai

Mansi smiled and went with him.
