I had a lot on my mind, wondering if James was alright when I was walking to my door. A part of me felt guilty for not checking if he was going to be okay. For all I know, my question probably brought up some type of PTSD flashback. I should've known better than to ask something like that. I had to find a way to apologize to James the next time I saw him.

I unlocked the door to my apartment and stepped inside. As I started to close the door, someone pushed their way inside. Immediately, I shoved the body away from me. I went into my closet and grabbed my gun. He quickly disarmed me, tossing my gun to the side.

"It's okay, listen to me, you're in danger." He said, locking the door. I didn't listen to him. I quickly ran into my kitchen to grab a knife. The man quickly blocked my strike with his shield.

Wait...shield? I moved the knife away. I looked at the shield, seeing the red, white, and blue with the star in the center. "Wait...Captain America?" I frowned at him.

Captain America is in my apartment, I thought to myself.

"Why is Captain America in my apartment? What do you want?"

"Listen to me," he said quickly. "There are men outside. Any second, they are going to barge through that door. We believe that they're from Hydra."

Instinctively, I walked to the front door. I grabbed my gun off the floor, went inside the coat closet, and pulled out a low grade remote explosive. It wasn't going to harm the people in the apartment building, but it was definitely going to hurt someone within a two feet distance. I turned on the explosive and held onto the remote. I jogged to the window. Captain America was right. There was a man waiting by a van. I moved to the other window and saw that there was another man under a streetlight on the other building next to my apartment building.

"How many men did you see enter the building?" I asked him.

"Two," he replied.

I walked to the kitchen and grabbed three knives from the drawer. I tucked my gun behind my back. I grabbed Captain America's arm and had him hide with me by the kitchen island. I closed my eyes and listened. I could hear the footsteps of the man coming closer and closer to my door. The door slammed open and I pressed the button on the remote. The explosive went off followed by the man yelling.

Once that happened, I got up to see that there was another man stepping over the man who was hit by the explosive. I grabbed one knife and threw it. It hit the man directly in the heart, making him fall back. I felt something nudge against the temple of my head. I turned my head, glaring at the man behind me. I notice my bathroom door was open which meant the agent entered through the window.

I glanced at Captain America. "Two men, huh?" I swiftly slashed at the man's arm with another knife, making him recoil his arm. I grabbed the arm and slammed my elbow into his sternum. I wasted no time using the knife to kill the agent. I glanced over at Captain America, who threw his shield at another man that appeared at the door, knocking him out before I could throw my knife. Captain America caught the shield and put it back on his arm.

I looked at my watch. "Two minutes," I muttered to myself. I had two minutes to escape before more agents came for me. Quickly, I ran over to the ottoman. I slipped on the holster and backpack. I clipped the straps of my backpack across my chest. Once I did that, I ran to the rooftop entrance.

"Wait, we can help you!" Captain America said, running after me.

"I don't want it!" I shouted back at him as I continued to run to the rooftop.

I pulled out my gun and fired at the man who was by the van and then shot the man on the other side. I took some steps back and started to run, jumping off the roof and landing on the other building's roof. I quickly broke off the padlock to the roof access door by using my strength and started running down the stairs. I paused for a moment when I heard a thud. I glanced up the stairwell, Captain America was still following me. Rolling my eyes, I continued to run. When I was about ten floors away from the ground floor, I jumped down the stairwell, landing on the balls of my feet.
