Synopsis "My freedom was taken from me before. I couldn't make a choice for myself or live the life I wanted to. Do you really think I'm going to allow anyone to take that away from me ever again?"
Iliana Calinao believes she has found her place in the world. She fights alongside the Avengers, taking down Hydra bases, cutting off each head that appears. Even with the government trying to find an excuse to lock her away due to the past of her being the Luna, Iliana is still trying to take control of her life so she can prove she is more than what Hydra made her to be.
But when mistakes lead to lives lost and new powerful allies emerge, a consequence for the Avengers' actions are brought to them. Only problem is the consequence is taking the one thing Iliana cares about most: her choice. And things will become more complex for Iliana when a certain someone makes an unexpected return.
Lines will be crossed.
Friendships will become divided from pride and fear.
But if that means freedom to finally live a life she can call her own, shouldn't it all be worth it at the end?
*This storyline will be in the timeline during Age of Ultron & Civil War, but again, I'm adding my own AU twists to make the storyline fit my future plans.*
Also note: I'm not really interested in using Infinity War or Endgame in my AU storyline. I'm sorry to those who are reading the story and expected me to use Infinity War and Endgame. Though those movies are amazing, I have urges to stray away from it.
Plus, the TVA is in chaos (Wink. Wink.) So, there we go! A multiverse without Infinity War or Endgame happening. Maybe...I'm not sure, playing around with it, but definitely not leaning towards it.
I hope you will continue to read this story even with this info. I promise you, it'll be worth it.
