I slipped on the dress that Natasha got me for the party. It was a beautiful backless black satin dress that had a subtle cowl neckline and the hemline stopping just a few inches above my knee. The ruching in the lower back defined my butt in a way that made it look bigger than it already was. I curled my hair into loose waves and wore gold hoop earrings. As for the shoes, I decided to wear red pumps that were about five inches high to match my red lips and nails. For my eye makeup, I wanted to go for a more natural look. So, I applied a little bit of a dark brown eyeshadow in my crease and outer corner of my eyes, a light champagne shimmer onto my lid, and a simple cat eye eyeliner.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped out of my room. My nerves were making me on the edge. A part of me didn't have confidence to go to the party tonight, but I knew that I needed to have a good time after the events that have been happening. Natasha and Steve told me that Bucky wouldn't be at the party, which was relieving to me. After the fight, I didn't want to see him at all. I didn't even want to hear his name.

Of course, life had to be funny.

The moment I began walking to the elevator, Bucky was heading towards his room. He wasn't dressed for the party. He stopped when he noticed me. His eyes trailed down and back up slowly, taking in the sight of me. I saw a flicker of lust flash in his eyes the longer he lingered. Deciding to be bold, I walked past him.

"Sergeant," I said calmly without making eye contact with him.

Making sure as I walked, I swayed my hips a bit so that he would stare at my ass. I flipped my hair to the side and turned slightly to see that he was looking. I saw his eyes travel down, enjoying the view of my exposed back and butt. He swallowed hard when he realized that I was looking at him. He straightened and cleared his throat, glancing another direction. When the elevator door opened I stepped inside.

"You're drooling, Barnes," I said before the elevator door closed.

As soon as the door closed, I leaned back against the wall and exhaled a long breath. I would be lying if I said my heart wasn't beating fast from just his stare. I groaned in annoyance because he still could make me swoon no matter how pissed off I was at him. It did give me some satisfaction knowing that he would be thinking about me for a bit.

The common room was filled with laughter, music, and a crowd larger than I was expecting. It made me feel a bit nervous seeing all these people. I just wanted to be around the faces that I already knew. I was thankful to see Natasha close by once I exited out of the elevator.  She was talking to a tall woman with dark hair and stunning blue eyes.

"Wow, you look at you," Natasha said. "Iliana, this is Commander Maria Hill."

"Just call me Hill. Everyone does."

I smile at her and shook her hand. "Hi. Nice to meet you. I remember the name from when Fury was interrogating me."

"That was me," Hill waved at someone and nodded her head. "Oh, excuse me, I'll be right back. I'll come back in a bit. It was nice meeting you officially, Iliana."

"Come on, let's get you a drink." Natasha guided me to the bar. I asked the bartender to give us two lemon drop shots and I ordered a Long Island for myself. "So, how are you holding up?" Natasha asked.

"All as well," I shrugged. I pushed our shots in front of us. I clinked the shot glass with her and drank it. Natasha drank hers too. "He actually saw me when I was going to the elevator. I swear, he was mentally undressing me."

"Well, I can't blame him. Plus, that ass of yours is probably going to be the center of attention tonight."

I rolled my eyes. "My ass isn't that big, Nat."
