I woke up when I felt a little pain in my sprained ankle. I adjusted my sight and check my ankle at doon ko nakita si Adamson na dinadampian ng cold compress ang aking paa.

"Did I wake you up?" tanong niya sa akin.

I check the digital clock beside the bed and it's already six in the morning.

Bakit ang aga niyang nagising? Did he wake up early to treat my ankle? After Adamson finished college I never heard anything from him.

Which irritated me the most dahil alam kong siya ang may pakana ng lahat. I don't know why he hates me being with his sister.

"Adam, do you hate me?" wala sa sarili kong tanong sa kanya. I felt him stop from what he was doing and looked at me. "Am I not worthy enough for you sister?" I added.

Adamson sighed. He stood up and sat on the edge of the bed. I noticed that he is now wearing his corporate attire. Is he going to work?

"My sister can't return your feelings for him, Ains. I'm just.." he took a deep breath. "..I just want you to forget your feelings for her. I thought sapat na ang dalawang taon na nawala siya for you to forget but it looks like you still love my sister."

"She's my first love, Adam. And I hate you for taking her away from me. I hate you! If you didn't take her away there might be a chance for us!" umiiyak kong saad. I poured all of my frustrations at him.

"My sister won't love you back." tanging sagot niya. "I just don't want you to get hurt."

"Sana hindi ka na lang nakialam."

I saw Adamson clench his fist. He gulped many times at hindi ko alam kung tama ba ang nakita ko sa mga mata niya. He looks hurt but he tried his best not to show it.

Sometimes I really don't understand him.

"I shouldn't be telling you this. It was Amara who wished to be away from you," anunsyo niya.

Natulala ako sa sinabi. I shouldn't have vented my anger towards Adam. He was always hard on me before.

Adamson stood up and fixed his clothes.

Go back to sleep since it's still early. Is there anything you want to eat for breakfast?" pag- iiba niya sa usapan.

How can he act like nothing's happened after I blamed him for everything? This jerk!

I heard Adamson's footsteps. I thought he already left kaya sumilip ako sa kumot. Nagulat na lang ako when I saw his face inches away from mine.

I gulped. He's breath smells good.
