"Sasha""Ksenya"
"Koshin"
"Valok"
"Mikhael."
"And... Lenora"
"That's all, folks"
Ezra and Mal sighed, it had been days and still no news from Ada or Alina.
"Ah. I love it when she does that", Mikhael spoke sniffing his letter.
"Here", he passed it to Dubrov.
"Smells like braised lamb!"
"You're an idiot"
"What? I love braised lamb"
"Shut up", grumbled Mikhael.
"Pathfinders, a new open assignment has come down from Os Alta. Every unit north of Chernast is tasked with volunteering a tracking party. General Kirigan is offering a visit all the way to the Little Palace for the one who can find Morozova's Stag", Bohdan spoke holding up a drawing.
The group in the tent chuckled at the idea.
"That's right, the ancient, mythical creature. Except in the flesh, if you please. So, volunteers?".
The group chuckled again but Ezra and Mal made eye contact, communicating without words.
"The Black General has finally lost it", laughed Dubrov.
"Wasting our soldiers on Second Army nonsense. Now they have a Sun Summoner, all the old folk tales are back on the table".
"I'll do it", Mak spoke up.
"I'll go".
"Me too", spoke Ezra.

"The Little Palace winter fete", spoke Arken. The group had been through a close brush with death on crossing the Fold but Jesper had been contented in the presence of Milo.
"There's just no way he can find a way to the Sun Summoner without Nina"
"Especially during this ridiculous party"
"The place will be crawling with Second Army"
"We're in luck", spoke Kaz. "There's a good chance we can crack on. Now that we're three days' travel from the capital, the next play is finding a way inside the Little Palace. It turns out the Kribirsk archives house the Little Palace blueprints. But... they're kept under lock and key. Far from the prying eyes of the masses".
"Yes!", Jesper fist pumped in excitement.
"What does that mean?", asked Arken.
"Time for a heist".
~~~~
}I leave you a bullet, to remember me", Jesper spoke sadly to the goat.
"Let's promise never to forget each other, Milo".
Milo simply bleated in return.
"But I must go now. I leave you in the care of this lovely barmaid, who needs your support here"
Jespers heat broke leaving the goat, who knew he could have grown to love Milo so much.
"I have a job for you", Kaz cornered Arken. "We need to hitch a ride east to the Little Palace"
"Hmm".
"Make friends", Kaz spoke with a glare, placing a few coins in his hand.
"But that's the hardest job!", spoke Arken.
