Ada sharply hissed as she pulled her shirt off, the cotton sticking to the gash on her shoulder. She'd spoken to Wylan who had suggested he could make a soothing paste to stop the stinging. On wondering why she didn't heal it herself, Ada repeated what she had told Ohval. A reminder that she could lose.

As she moved to open the pot Wylan had given her, the door to the private room she was in suddenly creaked open. Wheeling around, placing a hand on her shoulder to cover the cut, she was met by Ezra who had been looking for her.

"Shit, I'm sorry I didn't know you were changing," Ezra spoke apologetically, averting his eyes from where Ada stood in just a white vest.

"Shut up," Ada laughed. "You can look it's ok."

Meekly glancing over to Ada, Ezra's soft smile dropped when he saw the blood on her shoulder. "What happened?" he asked worriedly.

"Just got nicked by a blade at Ohval's. Nothing really," Ada tried to hide the look of pain etched across her face. Unfortunately, Ezra could read her like a book.

"Do you have anything for it?" Ezra furrowed his brow as he walked over.

"Wylan made me a paste," Ada nodded.

"Let me do it, it's hard to access for you," Ezra nodded towards the gash that stretched over to the back of Ada's shoulder where she couldn't reach.

The Healer passed the pot to Ezra who opened it gently. Scooping some of the past onto his fingers, he paused slightly before placing it onto the wound. There was an energy between them, a magnetism that took Ezra's breath away. As he smoothed the paste onto Ada's wound, she hissed slightly at the sting but it soon dissipated and was replaced by a warmth. Where the scrape had been red and angry, Ezra noted how the colour had faded. As his other hand touched the small of Ada's back to stabilise her, the girl took a staggered breath as a cacophony of butterflies swarmed in her stomach.

"Wylan's really good," he commented. "Jesper's lucky to have him."

"He is. And I'm lucky to have you," Ada grinned as she turned to face Ezra.

In the dimly lit room of the ship, a single sunbeam floated through the dusted over window. The beam hit Ezra's eyes with laser precision and Ada found herself trapped by the warm glow they gave out. She went to speak but found her mouth had forgotten how to function. Ezra took a step forward, bringing a hands up to cup Ada's cheek, the other hand trailing down the girl's arm who shivered at the electricity of his touch.

"Would you hurry up and kiss me," Ada spoke slyly, a grin adorning her face.

"Don't have to tell me twice," Ezra shook his head, his mouth forming a grin as he leant over Ada, pressing his lips upon hers. Elation ran through his body, as the softness of Ada's lips blended with his own. Pulling the girl in closer so that their bodies melded together, he let one hand explore her back as the other stayed at her cheek.

As Ezra bent over slightly to compensate for the height difference, Ada felt a spark through her body as they kissed, a spark that turned to a firework as his hand ran down her back. Laughing softly as they kissed, Ada felt that she might never be as happy as she was in this moment, ever again.

As Ezra pulled away, a grin adorned his face too, a slight blush spreading across his face. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that."

"Desperate much," Ada teased him, laughing as he frowned at her before spinning her round and placing her on the table in front of him.

"Why did you come looking for me?" Ada asked, her eyebrows furrowing as she remembered where she was before the kiss.

"I wanted to tell you what I saw in my hallucination. I want you to know me, not just on the surface. Truly know me," Ezra spoke, a glint of sadness in his eyes.
