SCPs but now with 20% more existential dread

my thoughts on scp ships but they're the most deranged takes you've ever seen

AKA checking the scp rankings again to make content.

i also simply don't know enough about the characters to really get into it so im just going off of vibes

this is going to be one of the most incomprehensible chapters ive ever written

1. scp-049 X dr.bright

no because i genuinely have to ask: is it crack you smoke. like this HAS to be a crack ship, right. (it wasn't)

dr.bright is solidly in the 'homophobic gay band kid' category and scp-049 is AT BEST, 'maniac scientist who doesn't have time for love or anything actually'. no i will not take criticism, they simply don't have chemistry on the molecular level.

2. scp-079 X scp-682

this one actually kind of makes sense, as far as scp on scp ships go, tbh. they're both in the 'major fucking asshole seriously wtf' category so checks out imo

3. scp-049 X scp-035

this one is on the fence with me simply because i think 035 is too mansplain and manipulate and not enough malewife to compensate with 049's dumbass energy, but its not that bad, tbh

4. dr. clef X dr. kondraki

i hate how this almost makes sense. like this is enemies to lovers in the highest power.

I think they both hate each other's guts, but its also something they could bond over, so its a solid 50/50 on if they date or kill each other, pretty alright ship dynamic, if you're into it.

5) scp-073 X scp-105 (rare pair?????)

literally never seen this before so i have no opinion

6) (haven't seen this one on wattpad but i think some people ship it?) dr.clef X dr.bright

i think this one wouldn't work out simply because they're both too similar to each other.

like, they're both homophobic gay band kids, but in different fonts(???) and no actual proof but i just think it wouldn't work out. it, it cancels out or something.

i think they would have a grand time bullying people on xbox live, but only as close friends, i think.

7) scp-106 X scp-096

it feels so inherently wrong, and i don't know why. like i guess they do have some similarities (they both presumably eat people) but i can't imagine it happening.

I think its mostly because i view scp-106 as being out for blood at all times, and scp-096 as being that one mf at the birthday party who acts shy, but then shows off when singing the happy birthday song.

they're polar opposites, and it's ultimately up to you on if that makes or breaks it.

8) scp-049 X scp-106

im trying very hard to understand where this came from, but it just.

feels like it came out of nowhere, honestly. i just don't see it happening, and i can't quite explain why.

9) a popular ship that just. isn't on wattpad apparently is dr.gears X dr.iceberg

and its like, it makes sense! the cold ass maniac and the Normal Guy:tm: have a dynamic that makes sense, at least to me.

I also feel that despite this dynamic possibly working well, I just don't think it would work in practice. Dr.Gears is NOT maniac enough for Dr. Iceberg, imo
