Well, at your time at the Foundation, I'm sure it's been mentioned to you once, or twice, maybe as a joke, and for you older readers, even warnings. 

What I'm talking about, of course, is Site-13, and more relevantly, what happened to Site-13. 

Don't worry guys, I actually didn't know any of this until a couple of days ago, so we're all going to be 'learning' together.

The thing about 1730-it's neutralized now. It won't be posing much of a threat now, hopefully.

so, special containment procedures: uh, we've got this perimeter is erected 2 km away from 1730, and a quarantine zone 1 km away. Any personnel entering 1730 have got to undergo class-six hazardous contact prep.

Er, so, class-seven hazardous contact prep. The application of such measures is only possible as the provisional Site-23 main gate.

Anyone who doesn't get fucking decontaminated will be terminated. I swear to god, we are not bringing any more of those, those fucking blood leech  things back. 

Yes, I am aware it's neutralized, but we're not taking any bloody chances. Jeez. 

ooh news flash! containment update: certain dangerous biological and cognitohazardous entities resulted in a lot of casualties, so the mobile task force zeta-9 ("Mole Rats") has now been assigned to all current exploration efforts.

SCP-1730 is a bunch of buildings that are in the Big Bend National Park-discovered in the {REDACTED} of June. 

Do you know where the Big Bend National Park is? It's in Texas. I could hop on a plane right now and go take a visit to 1730, although, that's probably not allowed either. That's no fun, is it?

1730 has been confirmed (it's got the documents to prove it) to be Site-13. Somehow. Originally, Site-13 was located in Alaska, and it is unknown how it actually got to Texas.

1730 has been abandoned for some time,  leading to power failures that ultimately hinder exploration and rescue efforts.

The origin of 1730 is unknown (what a shocker) and so are the presumed scps in there. Apparently the basement levels were used for containment. Nothing particulary strange there.

It is believed that a group of human survivors are kinds just existing in the lower basement levels. Messages have been found around the site-in english, might I add, that read 'danger', 'death', and a recurring message, 'What happened to Site-13?'.

Several data logs have been recovered from Site-13, and it might be worth nothing that there are inconsistencies in the logs and what has been discovered as of late.
