Four weeks had gone by, and Bryan refused to go near Puppet, afraid she'd try to kill him herself since their uncle hadn't succeeded. During the past month, Bonnie had been working hard on trying to fix the portal. Believing he had done it, he got AI to bring the eight-year-old through. AI did, both feeling confident it would work this time.

"Alright, Bryan," Bonnie said. "Just jump in here. When you feel a tug, jump out, okay?" Bryan nodded, doing as told. However, when he came back the boy had such a traumatized, haunted look in his eyes. Not only that, but he refused to go near AI anymore, flinching whenever he moved towards him. "Hey, you okay?" Bonnie asked. When the boy looked at him, he felt something click. B...Bry-Bry? He thought, holding out a hand to the boy. Immediately Bryan took it, holding onto his hand as they left the room.

All this time... You were right there. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, Bry-Bry.
