Maddy
I lay the wax strip on the back of Cgc's leg, holding in laughter. "Maddy, wait!" he says. He's laying on the floor, flat on his stomach so he has to rotate his body towards me in an uncomfortable position. "I haven't even done anything," I tell him, pressing down the wax paper. Nova records for her vlog, laughing behind the camera. We already did Rhys, who screamed like a little girl. Cgc's shaken up about it because of his friend's reactions. Both Xander and Chris opted out of this part of the trip.
He grabs onto his thigh and presses his teeth together. "Go, go!" he tells me. I grab the piece of paper from the top and he grabs my arm, "Wait!" I roll my eyes and let some of my laugh slip out. "Cgc! It doesn't hurt that much," Nova says. He looks at her. "That much? I'm gonna kill you both," he says. Nova turns the camera to face her, her face on the screen at an unreasonable angle. "If Maddy and I die, you know who did it," she whispers like Cgc can't hear her. She returns the camera to the big football player, who's scared of wax, on the floor.
"Rip it off quick," Cgc's southern accent appears through his speech. I don't give him another chance to stop me and rip off the paper quickly, just like he said. A scream is followed and I finally blow out a laugh. He presses down on his reddened skin while Nova and I laugh. "Who does this willingly?" he winces. I show the wax strip to the camera, Cgc's leg hair is stuck. Nova gags jokingly, Cgc flipping her off. "Let's go again!" I lift my arms in the air, dropping the wax paper. "No!" he quickly says.
"Rhys went three times, C. You need to go at least twice," Nova tells him. He glares at her, not as mean as my glare. He finally removes his hand from the spotless patch on his leg. "Only one more time," he says. I pick up another wooden stick, smearing the wax on his leg before he changes his mind. He flinches, "Ah!" I put the stick on the floor, not asking him what was wrong. The wax is still kind of hot and I know this because Rhys was complaining about it too.
I lay the wax strip above the wax and pat it down. "Get 'em good!" Nova says, zooming in on Cgc's face. He turns only his head to see what I'm doing. "I hate you," he says towards Novalee. I slap his calve a couple of times waiting a couple of more seconds. "You'll feel better when you're hairless mate," Nova says in a rough British accent. He actually laughs, "You're next." He points a finger at her. Right when he's focused on her, I take advantage and pull the paper off. He screams again, way too exaggerated. Nova laughs along with me again. Cgc raises his leg towards himself, pressing down yet again on the hairless spot.
"Maddy, what the hell?" he winces. Boys exaggerate a little too much. Xander and Chris peek their heads into the room, not even trying to hold in their laughter. They just got here and didn't witness the whole thing but laugh at Cgc who's in pain. "You feel better, mate?" Nova says. Cgc sits up, "I hate you," he repeats for the umpteenth time. He looks at Xander and Chris, "You two are next, get in here." He stands up quickly and both guys in the doorway start running in the other direction. Cgc quickly follows after them. After he disappears too, Nova stops recording, messing with something on the camera.
"I can't believe the last vlog got 256k views," I say. I checked the video on her account earlier and that's how many it had. Since Nova's new show 'Life's a mess' starts filming in about two months, people have already released the articles about the new up-and-coming show to Netflix. The cast pictures were released and Nova got some attention from it already. She's been gaining a couple of followers, nothing too crazy since the show still hasn't even started filming.
She looks up at me and smiles. "I know right, I think I reached 75k subscribers last night when I was asleep," she tells me. The last vlog was her most popular video and it showed the first two days of our trip here. It was a good video. She posted it on Monday and it's already Thursday. We didn't think it'd get that many views since most of the videos get about 50k views, 100k the most. "You're about to be more famous than Monet Adams," I joke. She gasps and shakes her head quickly. "I will never be as famous as her," she exclaims.
