The sound of the foot hitting the trunk of a tree was quite audible at dawn as Sakura hopped from one branch to another carrying Kakashi side by side to reach the place where the battle begin and ended.
And the only thing Sakura could do right now was hope that none of them ended up killing each other.
That's the biggest fear and the worst feeling crawling into her heart while she tried to reach the final valley faster.
Her jade eyes widened when she noticed the clearing, landing on the cliff with her sensei softly, as he's still under the aftereffects of using Obito's sharingan in the war.
She walked slowly, as Kakashi limped by her side, her heart itching to walk faster so she can see the mess beyond the cliff but has to keep in mind that her sensei is still not in a good shape.
"There they are! ". Sakura said, relieved to see two figures laying on the ground, their head moving, giving her the impression that they both are alive and not dead.
Her heart rejoiced in relief that they aren't late and they both are alive, even after what Sasuke did to her, she couldn't help but worry about him, and not an ounce of anger lingered in her heart for his actions.
Deep down she knew, he did this to keep her away from the disastrous battlefield, even though his methods were harsh, she knew the underlying feeling. However, his words did seem to leave an effect, a lot of effects, and made her think, that maybe there was nothing between them, to begin with.
To him, I have always been the annoying fangirl who can't seem to leave his side. How pathetic right?
"I figured they'd be here". Kakashi spoke tiredly, remembering the day he brought back a nearly dead Naruto from the finale valley after history repeated itself, at the same place it did years ago, so how come he won't remember where they would go to end it— the beginning.
Sakura looked over at him, in worry before putting off his hand from her shoulder. A silent understanding went between them as Kakashi knew she is going to tend them from their battle scars.
The kunoichi jumped down, hopping from stone to stone before she jumped when she noticed the blood flowing from the missing part of the arm, a gasp left her throat.
Her forehead formed lines of tension and worry for they both looked too nonchalant, considering their state and injury.
Even though she has prepared herself for this moment since she started learning medical ninjutsu under Senju Tsunade, still it wasn't easy for her.
The beaten-down figures looked at the pinkette, already knowing her reaction to their state as her eyes flickered with tears.
Kakashi fell, covering his left eye with his palm as he looked over his original team 7, the one he's been dreaming to see together. His heart aches that he wasn't able to do things better for them, which might have prevented this saddening affair but even he knows, this was bound to happen either way and now he can only hope that Sasuke changed.
The kunoichi's hand hovered over the cut on their arm's missing part, the mystic green aura appearing above it as she transferred her chakra into them to stop the flow of blood and regenerate their cells around it.
