The contractors were in and out of the house within 10 days while Rory and Finn retreated to his apartment for the time being. It was a short commute to work and a little change of scenery from their routine, so they took the opportunity to go out to town in the evenings a bit more. To their co-workers it was now painfully obvious that they were involved with each-other, arriving holding hands with her emerging baby bump. Rory worried first about how it would affect her status at work, but as soon as she told her boss about the pregnancy everyone pretty much assumed she wouldn't be returning after she had the baby. She didn't like this assumption - making her feel like she was meant to continue to live off Finn in the future. While she didn't know what her future held exactly, she knew she still wanted to work on her career and not give up just because of a baby, quite the opposite, her daughter was the perfect reason to prove to her and her daughter that she could do it.

The classical style of the house had been replaced with a light and breezy style with a few Australian accents in the form of paintings, a couple of lamps and other decor Finn had brought along from his own apartment. Here and there the rooms still enabled flashbacks to Emily's Friday night dinners. Rory had left Richard's study and his and Emily's bedrooms untouched for the times she'd visit, also hallways and other rooms they didn't use so much. She still didn't quite feel the place was hers, except the few rooms they had had done, but the place was growing on her.

They had set up the nursery in Lorelai's old room, that for a brief moment had also been hers, overlooking the balcony and facing the side of the house and large trees. They'd left all the original furniture, as they were rather functional, adding just the crib. However, the lighter and more modern colors and ever so slight steam-punk accents on the wallpaper and throw-pillows gave the room a refreshing feel, like a little inside joke for Life And Death Brigade members. Rory was sitting on the full size bed in the nursery, getting a feel for the room. Her mind bounced from her book, to furniture shopping for their own bedroom and from there to baby names, but nothing she'd thought of yet, felt quite right.

"Rory darling, are you in there?" Finn asked as he approached along the hallway.

"I'm here," she said loudly.

"So what are my girls up to?" he inquired with a smug smile, landing next to her on the bed.

"Oh, nothing, just resting a bit. Trying to think of good names...and the to do list," she explained.

"Any contenders?" Finn asked.

"Not yet," she replied.

"I thought of one," he said, "Audrey - what do you think?"

"Well it certainly would please Miss Celine," she replied, "but I'll think about it, it's not bad."

"Who's Miss Celine?" Finn asked.

"Emily's, and I guess mom's, personal stylist. She always refers to me as Audrey Hepburn when we meet," she laughed.

"Well she is not far off," Finn complimented her, kissing her boldly.

She continued to kiss him back fiercely, tracing her fingers along his strong arms up to his neck and hair. There was just something about his wild hair, that made him even more irresistible.

He gently stroked her hips, pulling her closer, and kept kissing until both of them needed to break for air.

"Miss Gilmore, you certainly are eager today," Finn smirked, unbuttoning Rory's blouse at the same time.

"Oh, and you aren't, Finn?" she laughed, unbuttoning his jeans with one hand.

He kissed her chest, roughly pulling her lace bralette under her breasts, moving lower and removing her leggings, before pulling his t-shirt over his head.
