Millie continued to stare at the two of you, her gaze filled with shock, causing a deep pit to form in your stomach, "Hey Millie, you forget something?" You ask in the hopes she didn't notice what was happening.

The cogs were visually turning in her mind as she blinked in disbelief for a few seconds, "Were you two..." Millie slowly began.

You turn to Loona, who was avoiding eye contact at all costs, to try and get an answer, "Yes Millie, yes we were" Loona replied in a reserved voice.

She hesitated for a moment before a wide smile crept on her face, "I fucking knew it!" She declared with enthusiasm, leaving you blurred, with Loona following soon after, "Did you really think I wouldn't notice the way you two stare at each other all day?"

"I don't do that" Loona argued, crossing her arms in frustration.

"Sure you don't" she replied with a blank face, "I knew exactly what was gonna happen when he walked through that door"

"This has only been a thing since yesterday" You point out.

"You two been falling all over each other ever since you joined, Eli" Millie laughed, causing you both to blush.

"You said you'd forgotten something?" Loona jumped in, wanting to move on from the situation.

She scratched her head for a second before acknowledging her question, "Oh right, Mox left his phone, would you mind if I quickly grab it for him?"

"Sure, but Millie, this stays between us, Blitzø doesn't know yet, and I would like to keep it that way," Loona added with a stern look before unlocking the door.

"Sure, I know how he can be a bit pushy with this type-a stuff" Millie agreed before returning to the office.

As she bounced away in search of the device, you turn to Loona whose face was still reddening from her moment of venerability, "Well it was gonna happen at some point" you chuckle, "Good thing it was her and not Mox"

"He wouldn't let me hear the fucking end of it" she laughed nervously as Millie returned.

"Alright now, if you two ever need me to cover your backs on, this," she enunciated while pointing between the two of you, "Just let me know"

Her relaxed view of your relationship made you smile, "Thanks Millie, we'll be sure to do that" you thanked wholeheartedly.

(Time skip forty-five minutes)

Fishing the keys from your pocket, you step up to your apartment door, swiftly twisting the metal into its lock, "Well, make yourself at home," you remark, forcing the hinges open.

Inside was just how you'd left it the day prior, its overall dark tones complementing the disorderly plush furniture, the only sliver of light being leaked through a singular blind at the back of the room. Your kitchen, which followed the interior's colour scheme, was in spotless condition thanks to your cleaning a few days before.

Slipping inside, you flick a nearby switch to produce a few gentle beams of light, "This is not what I was expecting" Loona commented slowly, her paws sinking into the soft carpet, "I somehow imagined it, smaller"

"Thanks, you really know how to complement a guy," you tease, immediately heading over to fix the unkempt sofa you'd been sleeping on for the last week, saying as much to Loona.

"Do you not have a bed?" she asked, quietly concerned.

"I do, only got it built a couple of days ago, but being exhausted I just fell asleep here watching TV" You explain with a slight smile, "and last night this kind hound let me sleep in hers instead"
