The chalet stood in silence, its occupants in a deep slumber as the twilight drifted by, apart from one. Your mind persisted every time you'd fall unconscious, leaving you in a sort of yo-yo state of rest.

You awake again in a cold sweat, immediately jolting up from the comforting fabric in a daze, "Fuck..." you groan. This had been the third time in the last two hours and yet, despite your restlessness, you began to feel the fatigue creeping in.

Deciding to change your scenery, in hopes that it would help distract your mind, you carefully remove Loona's paw from your waist and wander toward the large window opposite. Watching as the night gradually moved, completely oblivious to your presence, "Hey" a drowsy voice called from behind, "You okay?"

You sigh sincerely before shifting your gaze to the yawning hound in your bed, "I couldn't sleep" you note before returning to her, "Sorry for waking you up"

"I forgive you" she replied in a mocking tone. Eventually, her weakened muscles re-situated themselves onto your body, leaving you to wrap her up again with your arms, "Do you want to talk about it?"

You chuckle gently, "You sound exhausted, we can talk in the morning"

"I don't mind" she retorted in a hurry, still upholding her faint voice, "If it'll help you sleep"

You smile softly, not wanting to put your problems on her shoulders, yet her assurance brought your muzzle to life, "I don't want to kill him" you mumble, your heart rate increasing as vivid images of Sully's corpse began flashing in your mind.

Noticing your distress, Loona tightened her grip around your stomach, "It's okay, it won't come to that" she assured, her soothing voice gradually calming your body, "He'll remember"

Suddenly, she planted her muzzle onto yours, banishing the dark thoughts from your mind, "Now get some sleep" she grumbled before retreating to her comfortable position, "I love you"

You finally conceded, resting your head atop hers as deep drowsiness began to flow through your body, "I love you too"

(Time skip eight hours)

You awake to an uncomfortably bright glare shining on your face, provoking you to wince as your consciousness returns. Noticing the slight stream of light flowing between the curtains, you groan in frustration, "Ughh"

With a rub of your eyes, you begin to notice your solitude within the room, forcing a desolate emotion into your stomach, "I'd better go see how she's getting on" you mumble to yourself, recalling your abandonment of Ellie the night before.

After throwing on some clothes, you head out into the hall and make your way out into the lounge to find Blitzø lying out across the sofa, his aggressive snoring immediately apparent. You clear your throat prominently, prompting Blitzø to abruptly snort awake in a panic, "I'm not asleep, I'm-" he blurted out before noticing your presence, "Fuck sake Eli, couldn't you see I was trying to sleep here!"

As he continued to complain, Ellie casually slipped into the room with a silent step, "Oh, I thought you had my back?" Ellie noted with a slight smirk, "Come on"

Slightly confused, you watched as Blitzø stood with an irritated expression, his eyes rolling as he approached Ellie, "Fine, you win, here" he grumbled, producing a deep red ruby bracelet, its links shimmering with gold, "Can I fucking sleep now?"

Ellie hummed for a moment, "Sure unless you've got anything else to offer?"

"Get rimmed" he yelled before face-planting onto the cushioned sofa, leaving her to chuckle at his outburst.

As she continued to admire her prize, you slowly began to waltz over, "What was that about?" you ask.

Placing the bracelet onto her wrist, she swiftly attended to your question with a sly grin, "Blitzø thought he could stay up later than I could" she replied bluntly, her arms crossing as she looked over her ex-opponent, "Poor thing didn't know what hit him"
