#0/ Alan PoV

I was being serious about the whole mars thing, though the others took it as a joke. We needed all the walkers we could get, especially if we ended up fighting Red Nexus, and if they went running off, teleporting themselves to other planets and suffocating, then there wouldn't be enough people left to help combat the evil company. When we arrived at the cafeteria for food, it was less than a quarter full, which, to be honest, wasn't that surprising, given that it was designed to seat half of the 30,000 walkers that the base could accommodate. Once we had our food, I pulled my friends over to a table, where we sat and talked and ate like we were backstage at a concert, rather than underground in a stylised army bunker. The food was surprisingly good, though it burnt my tongue at first from being so hot, though i suppose that i had better off than Susanne, who took one mouthful of her jambalaya and immediately downed four glasses of water.
"My mouth is on fire!" she spluttered, just before her drone squirted her in the face with fire extinguisher foam.
"Y'know what? I think that Cervyance is developing a sense of humour!" Ed chuckled, trying not to smirk at the sight of a high-ranking Walker coated in so much foam she looked like a snowman, but failing miserably. Another walker approached us, trying to look serious.
"Kan jeg kjelp du, #653? [Can I help you, #653?]" I asked the Norwegian in charge of admissions.
"Vi hadde 5217 pålogginger i dag. Søsknene dine kom for 15 minutter siden, så jeg sendte dem til rommet ditt, fordi jeg ikke visste hvor du var. De vil vente på deg. [We had 5217 sign in today. Your siblings arrived 15 minutes ago, so I sent them to your room because I didn't know where you were. They'll be waiting for you.]" I was surprised, I thought Andreas would have come in earlier, and that Camilla was on holiday in the Caribbean for two weeks.
"Begge to? Var ikke Andreas her tidligere? [Both of them? Wasn't Andreas here earlier?]" He shrugged.
"Gi meg et minutt, jeg skal sjekke - ja det var han, han dro klokken 11, og logget deretter på igjen klokken 17:21, med #2. Du burde virkelig gå nå, du vet at Cami har et temperament. [Give me a minute, I'll Check- Yes he was, he left at 11, then signed back in at 17:21, with #2. You really should go now, you know Cami's got a temper]" I fiddled with my fingernails, picking at the skin around them.
"Ok takk. Jeg går nå. sees i morgen, #653 [OK, Thanks. I'll go now. See you in the morning, #653]" He walked off to get some food, which he deserved more than anyone because he had spent the day in the whirlwind of craziness that was the Admin Office. God only knows how he can deal with all of the paperwork.
"What did he say, babe?" Chris asked me when I stood up to go, "It wasn't bad new, was it?"
"No, silly, I'm just confused." I replied, picking up my tray to take it to the serving hatch for washing up, then trying to leave the room, but the way was blocked by my boyfriend.
"Snuppa [Baby], please can you let me through? I need to go find my brother and sister before they kill me."
He narrowed his eyes slightly, but stepped to the side.
"Fine- But I'm coming too."
I rolled my eyes at his request, but grabbed his hand.
"Ok, you can come."
The last thing I heard before even Avem and M-3770 were out of range was Ise saying
"So are we going to do this test, Susanne?" And a reply from Cervyance of
"Let's go to #28300's room."

There were several footsteps behind us, and soon the pair appeared, chatting about objects and artifacts that had been found during the excavations. We were nearing our rooms, and Iselin and Susanne's talk had changed into a conversation about what material the drones were made of, and whether it could be replicated and enhanced. I heard footsteps infront of me as well as behind, and then I saw my sister at the end of the corridor, hands on her hips and one of her 'where have you been' looks on her face.
"Skulle du ikke vært på ferie?[Weren't you supposed to be on holiday?]" I asked before she could get a word in edgeways.
"Jeg var. Helt til forbannet Red Nexus startet en global kampanje for verdensherredømme.[I was. Until damn Red Nexus started a global campaign for world domination.]" She replied. "Jeg ville ha kommet hit tidligere, men jeg trengte å hente noen.[I would have got here earlier, but I needed to pick someone up.]"
As far as I knew, Camilla didn't have any friends on the platform.
"Hvem? [Who?]"
She let out a short, sharp whistle and there was a patter of little claws as my dog ran around the corner and left into my arms.
"Happy! Hey-Hey! Stop it, you're tickling me, Happy! You hold him, Chris, I need to take an antihistamine." He took Happy out of my arms, laughing as my dog tried to licker his face.
"You're allergic to dogs?"
"Only slightly. It's not that bad, just I sneeze a bit if I come into close contact with one. I usually carry an antihistamine with me, in case someone's dog jumps me in the street." I rummaged in my pockets, trying to find the pill, but it wasn't there.
"Alan?" Cami was holding a pack of them out to me.
"Thanks Cami." I took the box and swallowed a pill once I has checked they were the non drowsy kind.
"Now, come here Happy!"
He barked, and I tried to take him off Chris, but he jumped out of my arms and ran down the corridor towards the unsuspecting Iselin and Susanne, who had just rounded the corner.
"Alan! Why is your dog attacking me?!" Susanne squealed, but Ise bent down, letting Happy smell her, then scratched him behind his ears.
"I always wanted a dog, you better watch out, Alan, or I'll steal him!" She laughed as the little dog licked her.
"Happy, come here, leave Iselin alone." I called, but he didn't,  just stood there looking between me and Ise like he was debating who he liked better. Eventually, he gave her one last lick and padded back to me, and I gave him a snack. Behind me, Cami said
"Come on Alan,  me and Andy want to talk to you about something. And I guess Chris can come too, if you insist." I did insist, and Chris let the four of us into our room, Iselin and Susanne disappearing into their dorm as well as the door slammed behind me.
