What's interesting about college, is that people notice you.
You're not invisible like you once were in your hometown. Even though you had gone to school with almost everyone for years, they intentionally avoided you, look past you.
With college, though, you know no one. There are a few people who stand out, that you see on your way to class but you don't know their names.
You don't know anyone until someone throws a party and you're standing by the beer pong table, drinking, chatting with your friends until someone who you've never seen before asks for some nicotine. You let them hit your grape flavored vape and in between hits, they ask you; "you're Lauren, right?"
