Rachel looked down and saw Alana cuddling her, with one hand on her breast. Whilst her head was on Rachel's shoulder, Alana was big spooning her. She also noticed her hand on top of Alanas', she sat for a good minute in this position. Afterward, she moved Alanas' hand slightly and steadily, she then moved Alanas' head off of her and rested it on the pillow. She sat up on the bed and looked around the room briefly.
Alana woke up, or was half awoke, she grunted and then spoke, with her sleepy voice, "Is it morning time already?"
"No, I just had a nightmare," Rachel said.
"Are you okay?" Alana asked, you could just hear the sleepiness in her voice, as she put the pillow over her face.
"Yeah, I'm okay, go back to bed sleepyhead," Rachel said.
"I'm going to go get a drink of water," she added. Rachel moved the covers off of her and got up from the bed. She walked to the restroom then flicked on the restroom lights, she walked over to the sink and opened the cabinet that was overhead the sink, she grabbed a rubber band out then she closed the cabinet. Rachel put her hair into a messy bun, she then walked out of the restroom and turned the lights back out on her way out. She walked over towards the door and opened it slightly with enough space to walk through the door. She walked down the hallway when she heard a glass break, the sound came from the kitchen. Rachel stopped in place and listened in silence. She turned around and the bedroom door was still open, she turned back around and noticed that it was completely silent, before she saw the darkness of the hallway. She started walking towards the kitchen once more walking down the steps.
Rachel approached the kitchen and flicked the lights on, she walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed the broom that was on the left of it, and the dustpan. She walked over to the shattered shards of glass and began sweeping them up. Rachel finished sweeping up the mysteriously broken glass and walked over towards the trash can, she opened it up and threw it away, then headed over towards the refrigerator and sat the broom and dustpan down beside it.
Suddenly the lights began flickering, causing Rachel to jump, looking around hastily, then the lights turned off, she was in umbra, she was walking backward when she started to feel herself get harder and harder to move, she could barely take steps, move her mouth, move her muscles, it was like her body was gaining density. After a few seconds she realized she couldn't move, as if she was paralyzed, stuck in place in the darkness all around her, her facial expression was panicked and very scared, tears started to form in her eyes as her eyes wandered in the dark.
Then the darkling woman—the woman from her dreams—appeared, that woman with the all-white face mask with the perfectly shaped circles on her mask with very slight black trips on it, her long black straight hair was coming out of the sides; with her fully black clothes on, as if it was a onesie. The distance between this darkling woman and Rachel which was rather far enclosed instantly, she ran her fingers all over Rachel's face once again, turning her head slightly and menacingly.
Rachel quickly realized she could move once more after the woman disappeared. Rachel screamed out for Alana, she woke up quicker than she ever had before and ran out of the room not even caring she was in her panties and ran downstairs to Rachel. She flicked on the lights and saw Rachel crouched up in a corner with her knees up against her chest and her arms wrapped around them, rocking back and forth, as if she had just seen a ghost.
"What happened are you okay?" Alana asked as she slowly walked closer to Rachel, she then sat next to her and she attempted to wrap one of her arms around Rachel but she flinched rather hard. Alana took her arm back slightly then put her arm around Rachel and pulled her in, Rachel's head rested on Alanas' shoulder, her heartbeat was beating so fast she could practically feel it beating through her chest.
