After Beatrice had that encounter in the basement she stayed in her room, she wasn't hungry, sleepy, or had positive emotions, just terrified.

Meredith was in the kitchen preparing dinner, she was making a chicken pot pie casserole. She pulled out her ingredients—the recipe—third cupped butter, half cup of sliced mushrooms, two medium carrots, and onions, sliced, one-fourth cup of all-purpose flour, one cup of chicken broth, one cup of milk, then all the other recipes.

She preheat the oven to four hundred degrees, then cooked and stirred the food until tendered, she then added the rest of the ingredients and then cooked and stirred for two minutes until it became thick, after she properly added all of the recipes and made the topping she put it into the oven and cooked it for thirty minutes. Alastair walked over to Meredith because he felt she needed someone to listen.

"I know it may not seem like it but one day everything you've done will make sense," Alastair said.

"It's just not fair, I know it's eschatological but I can't deal with it anymore, the stress, the overworking, the anxiety, the debt, all the death in my family, it's too much," Meredith said.

"Meredith, listen to me, you don't have to deal with it on your own, I can lend you some money in my savings to pay off your debt and I'm getting a raise soon so we won't have to take extra hours," Alastair suggested, Meredith nodded.

"I need to be strong, for my kids, I can't let them see me like this," Meredith said, then she gathered herself. After she did that she opened the oven to check the food, stared at it for a few seconds, and then closed it.

"It'll be done soon," she said.

"Can't wait, I always loved your cooking," Alastair said, trying to make her feel better by complimenting her cooking, which worked, a slight smile crept onto her face. Alastair admired her smile and then walked to the couch and sat down.

Akira had already left when they did to check on Velvette, he went back to his room and got on his laptop, to look up the Onryō, he found on the web that it's a Japanese vengeful spirit that seeks revenge on their wrongdoers, being so traumatized by what happened during their life that the wrathful spirits manifest from the dead to seek revenge, he then looked up the different recorded Onryō cases, he scrolled for a bit before seeing Luca on the list, and his friends. He clicked on Lucas' profile to see what they documented; he was killed because he belonged to the lineage of Genbō.

Akira studied in silence, he found this interesting but terrifying, after a couple of minutes of continuous research he stumbled across a site that said an Onryō cannot be defeated, the only way to get rid of one is to let it do whatever it wants until it goes away on its own, by this Akira's eyes widened with horror, because he realized they're next on the onryō's sights of condemnation.

Meredith walked to the hallway and yelled out for them to come to eat.

"Okay!"

"I'll be there in a second!"

"Alright!"

"Yes ma'am!" They shouted, Renata and Rosa were the first to come to eat, they walked quickly to the kitchen, and grabbed their plates and forks, they were hungry since they haven't eaten since nine o'clock in the morning, and they were big eaters with a fast metabolism, something they have in common.

"Thanks, mom," Rosa said, she looked at Renata with a hint of worry in her eyes because she was partly worried she would come clean and tell her parents what she told her, but Renata understood that what was said to her in private stays private.

Rosa looked back at the food Meredith pulled out of the oven after she got a gut feeling that Renata wouldn't say anything, she couldn't be sure because she didn't have confirmation but she'd just have to trust her instincts. Meredith cut the pot pie into squares then grabbed the spatula and scooped up Rosas' slice, and placed it on her plate, she then walked over to the table and sat down.
