"Thank you, miss!"
M/N smiled at the vendor as he gave a small wave of goodbye. He shoved the fruits he bought into his bag, munching on a smaller plastic bag of seedless cherries.
How the pits were removed? He had no clue. Yet, somehow it worked! The cherries were indeed pitless. Glancing around, the glint of excitement in his eyes never left for a single moment.
Truly, Zaban City was a sight to behold.
Lively music and chatter followed the group wherever they traveled, navigating through a variety of colorful street vendors and item stands. Residents, travelers, and exam applicants flooded the streets and formed crowds around the multitude of products seen on display.
Naturally, it was crucial that the group stuck together and followed the navigator — it was so easy to get lost.
Which was a problem, because M/N and Gon both had the attention span of a pair of goldfish crackers.
"Who wants a taste? It's Zaban's world famous panda-frog on a stick! A delicacy!"
"Woah! M/N, come check this out!"
"This brooch here was excavated from Zaban's underground palace. It's a real find."
"Ooooh, Gon! Look at this!"
The two sprang from vendor to vendor and shady salesman to shady salesman, marveling at all the items. Gon didn't want to buy anything, but he enjoyed having a look around nonetheless. M/N ended up buying the fruits and an extra shirt, all of which he simply stuffed into his bag.
It took the rest of the group a few minutes to realize the pair were even gone. But once they did, disappointment set in.
"What do you guys think you're doing? Let's go!" Leorio called out with a small scowl. Although not in a particularly bad mood, he recognized that the group needed to stay as close together as possible. Clearly, the children did not.
Both had immediately ran off without a thought. Because, of course they did.
"Right!" Gon glanced over, quickly nodding. M/N followed behind with an apologetic smile, still chewing on a cherry.
