"Kukuroo Mountain, huh? Never heard of it."
Leorio gave a slight hum. His expression was confused, partially obscured by the shaded imprint of softly rustling leaves.
"Do you know where it is, Kurapika?"
He paused briefly, furrowing his brows when he received no response. He shouted in slight annoyance after another few seconds of silence, "Hey, Kurapika!"
"Huh?" Kurapika's head snapped up in surprise. He gave Leorio a glance from his seat on the concrete bench, before standing up. "Oh, what's that?"
"Pay attention! Illumi mentioned Kukuroo Mountain. Do you have any idea where it is?"
Kurapika blinked for a few moments, still regaining his train of thought.
"No, I'm afraid I don't. But, we can just go look it up online."
". . . it's in Padokea."
"What?"
M/N turned away, blankly staring to the side for a moment. He messed with his hands absentmindedly as he sighed. "The mountain is in Padokea. It's a republic, I think. . ? i've visited before."
"Really? You've been there before??" Leorio's eyes widened in complete disbelief, joined by the collective gasps of Gon and Kurapika.
M/N simply nodded, tapping his foot nervously as a strong unease pooled in his stomach.
It's not that he was trying to keep information from his friends -- it's that he just couldn't get a clear memory of the place. From the few moments he recalled, he had a lovely time there!
. . . right?
But, even then, just how much was he allowed to share?
