"Where is he?"
Leorio tapped his foot impatiently. The steps made rhythmic thumps on the wood as his eyebrows furrowed in worry. Kurapika stood beside him, arms crossed as he shook his head with a small frown.
The sullen mood was interrupted by a cheerful Khara, who looked up from her clipboard with a large smile, "Alright! Everyone's here, correct?"
"No, no — we're missing someone."
Leorio's tapping grew more frantic,
Khara blinked in disbelief - not expecting a response to the rhetorical question. Emphasis on rhetorical. She gave an awkward laugh, pulling a strained smile. "Aha - ! Well, even if there is someone left, they've already failed. So, congratulations to everyone —"
"I said not everyone's here! Give me a few minutes, would ya?" Leorio shook his head in annoyance and clicked his teeth lightly, "I have to go look for him."
Kurapika raised a brow at the words but didn't make any move to stop the medic as he stepped closer to the bridge. Khara's eye twitched briefly in irritation. She let out another irritated laugh as she forced a bigger smile.
"Sir! You need to understand that we are on a very tight schedule, and the phase is now over! Whoever is left will be taken care of by the association — now get back in the boat!"
Leorio let out a loud tch, looking at the stewardess with a slight glare. "Look — one of my friends is stuck on that island and there's no way he would leave without some foul play being involved. I'm gonna go find him."
"If you step on that island again, you'll fail the exam — immediately! Got that?! Now, just get back on and we can continue on schedule!" Khara hissed out with as friendly of a tone she could muster.
The group paused for a moment at the harsh resolve. Leorio simply stood for a moment, before shaking his head and stepping further across the bridge. "Fine by me. You guys go on without me alright?"
