6:00 am. my alarm blasting in my ears. i let out a groan and reached for my phone to turn it off as a notification grabbed my attention.

Josh: "Get your ass down here, theres someone i want you to meet."

odd. Josh isnt usually at the studio before i am. he sleeps later than i do most days. i brushed my long hair out from my face and rubbed my eyes. sat up and shoved the blankets out of my way so i could stand. quickly showered and got ready for the day.

i rushed down the street with a cheap coffee and sunglasses in my hand. "what is so important to Josh that he woke up so early for?" i thought silently. i finally made my way to the front door and swung it open and headed upstairs. i shoved open the studio door and my eyes met with my brother. my brother and 3 other people. two of them i knew obviously as they were my brother and my best friend.

danny waved and sat down and jake just half smiled and went into the other room. Josh grabbed my arm and i finally met eyes with the 4th person.

"Sammy this is Jackie. Jackie, this is Sam." josh exchanged to us both while i stared at the girl in front of me. i couldn't help but feel my cheeks blush. she was gorgeous. her green eyes softened when she smiled and reached her hand out to shake mine.

"pleasure to meet you sam." she said when i shook her hand. "im just here because my dad owns the building. josh and i got to talking and he told me you and i are the same age." she said after letting go. she adjusted her purse strap on her shoulder and smiled again. damn you josh. he always tried to play matchmaker with me. bastard actually chose a beautiful girl this time though.

"oh thats awesome!" i finally said, shooting her a smile for the first time." she nodded. "well i better get going, i have to get lunch with my friends in 10. was great meeting you all!" she said motioning to all of us. we all nodded and josh gave her a side hug as we said bye.

when she was gone i turned to face josh with a look. "what was that about?" i asked with my eyebrows raised. jake laughed from the other side of the room. "i told you shes too hot for him." jake said shrugging and plugging in his guitar. "i dont know, by the looks of her body language, she was nervous around him," josh said with a half smile.

"fuck off. stop doing that i dont need you to be cupid." i said setting down my coffee and making my way towards my bass.

i pulled open the door to my fathers building with my free hand. i balanced the heavy box of equipment on my knee and struggled through the door. "oh hey let me help you with that.." a voice from inside the building rang.

a boy with long brown hair took the box from me and held the door. "thank you.." i said with a laugh. i brushed my hair out of my face and smiled at him. "oh are you guys the band renting out the building?" i asked. by the looks of him i could tell he was a musician.

"yeah thats us!" said another voice coming from my left. i turned and faced a boy who looked exactly like the one i just met but with shorter, curlier hair. "im josh! lovely to meet you!" he said extending his arms for a hug. i laughed and let him hug me. "im jake." the long haired boy said with a nod and a half smile.

"im jackie, im jeremy's daughter. i help out with the building sometimes." i said putting my hands on my hips. suddenly the door flung open and cold air from outside filled the room. a tall boy with black long hair joined us in the front room. "glad you could join us daniel." the curly haired boy said

he nodded with a straight face and his glance turned to me. "oh im jackie.. my dad owns the building." i said awkwardly. he smiled. "nice to meet you!" he said enthusiastically. "anyone heard from samuel this morning?" he asked turning to the boys. "he's most likely still in bed." josh said rubbing his temples. "ill text him. jake, take that box of cords up to the recording room." he said pulling out his phone.

i started to head out the door but josh grabbed my arm. "say, jackie how old are you?" he said looking at me after turning his phone off. "im 19." i said with a smile. "perrfectt! sam is 19!" he said beaming. "i want you to meet him! he'll be here any minute! please, come upstairs and join us till he gets here."

i nodded, not feeling like i had a choice. i followed him up the stairs. the two boys already in the room were laughing and joking around with each other. josh joined them as soon as he entered. i stood in the door frame and smiled at them. they seemed like nice boys. jake picked up a gorgeous guitar from the case and set it on its stand.

danny took a seat at the drum set and swiveled around till he was comfy. he played around on the drums till they sounded alright. josh and jake had started an argument but it was dismissed by the door opening behind me.

a tall boy, taller than jake and josh but not taller than danny, walked in with sunglasses on. his shirt half unbuttoned and tight jeans. his hair was long and looked extremely soft. i assumed this was samuel. josh rushed over to us. my eyes met with samuels. i couldn't see his expression because of his sunglasses but his half smile was adorable. "sammy this is jackie, jackie this is sam." josh said with a huge smile. i reached out to shake his hand. "pleasure to meet you." i said when his hand met mine."

i told him about my dad owning the building but for some reason i felt nervous, and awkward. so i decided to dismiss myself by lying and telling the boys i had lunch plans. josh hugged me and i said goodbye to my new friends.

i left and walked down the stairs. "holy shit." i whispered. that had to be the most beautiful man i had ever seen in my entire life. looks like im coming to help my dad more often.
