awsten had been around as much as possible, but he had his own life too.

being alone was the worst. especially in the store.

awsten had been in the studio either giving guitar lessons or recording with his band. i spent all of my time working his shifts.

things have been a lot better. i havent worried about sam or his brothers in 2 months.

but its also been 2 months since i saw that article.

the little bell on the door chimed and i sat up straight at the desk.

a girl with short brownish black hair and glasses started to browse around the store. she looked like she was searching for something specific.

"can i help you with anything?" i said approaching her slowly.

"oh uh yeah actually. im looking for the new greta van fleet album. i figured you guys might have it since they recorded it down the street." she said smiling.

ugh.

"umm let me look i think we do.." i said pretending to look around. i knew we had them, awsten put them away for me.

i went straight to the section for bands that start with G.

i quickly found it to her and handed it to her. "here you go!" i said smiling.

"how did you know they recorded it here?" i said raising an eyebrow.

"found it online" she said shrugging. "do you like them?" she said back.

i shrugged. "they're alright. never really listened to them much." i lied.

"you should totally get into them. sam, their bassist, is totally gorgeous." she said talking with her hands.

my face was red at this point. i scanned her album and bagged it for her. she payed quietly. i definitely made it awkward.

she left and i put my hands on my face and sighed.

i threw my cigarette on the ground and stomped it out. shoved my sunglasses on my face and started my way towards the bus.

tour starts today.

its been 2 months since vivian and i got together. 6 since i last saw jackie.

i never meant to hurt her, just thought she was too good for me, and i had big plans.

"first stop, LA!" josh said climbing onto the bus.
