i stood there stiffened and nervous. the boys continued their show and i tried my best to ignore the drunk stood beside me.
"so where did you meet my boys?" she yelled in my ear.
"oh uh my dad owns the studio they record in." i shouted back over the music.
she nodded quietly.
i listened contently to the encore, in my mind i was begging for her not to say anything else to me.
"we wanted to dedicate this last song to someone very special thats here tonight." josh said introducing the next song.
i saw viviane smile out of the corner of my eye and cross her arms.
"a good friend of ours, the beautiful, radiant, Jaclyn is here tonight." josh said smiling over to me from the stage.
i grinned. even laughed a little bit. he cant be serious.
my face grew red.
viv picked up her beer from the table behind us and walked back stage.
i smiled, finally feeling comfortable.
"this song is called Flower Power." he said and the crowd roared louder than usual.
i enjoyed the song as it went on, but finally it came to an end.
the band wrapped up the show and said goodbye to their wonderful crowd. people really did love them.
jake ran off stage and hugged me, followed by josh joining in on the group hug.
"thank you for that, you didnt have to-" i started to josh
"no i wanted to, you deserve some celebration!" he said putting his hands on my face.
sam stepped off the stage and walked backstage without saying a word to us all.
josh sighed and grabbed my hand. "come on, i want you guys to at least speak to each other." he said pulling me back stage.
he pushed open a dressing room door to see sam and viviane fighting in the middle of the room.
"why the fuck are you so self absorbed! not every show i do is about you! my music has nothing to do with you." sam yelled at viv with his back to all of us.
"well you sure loved to write songs about that bitch!" she screamed back.
"this isnt about her! this is about me and you. she wanted me to leave, so i left." he said
"well if you chase two girls, you lose the one." she said looking over at me, shoving sam towards me.
viviane stormed out of the room and it was radio silent.
i had tears in my eyes.
josh let go of my hand slowly.
"jackie can we-" he started
"no." i said taking josh's hand again and walking back out of the dressing room
josh followed me and i immediately broke down as soon as the door was shut.
i fell into his arms and sobbed, my face red and hot.
"jackie.. what.." he said trying to lift my face toward him.
"i dont want to be in the middle of anything. i dont want to cause him any more problems." i said sniffing.
josh cooed and held my face. "no darling this isn't your fault. they do this every show.. but i think you being here finally intimidated viv enough. she isnt good for sam.. we tried to tell him.." he said while rubbing my back.
i nodded and tried to stop crying while he rocked me back and fourth.
i stood up and left his arms. "okay.. i think im okay.." i said rubbing the mascara from under my eyes. "how do i look?" i said to josh.
"beautiful."
sams voice came from behind me. he mustve walked out the door while i was crying.
i turned to face him. "sam i am so sor-" i started
he pulled me into his chest and hugged me tight.
"don't apologize. i missed you." he whispered.
