i sighed as i walked out of my second block class. i looked up from my phone, noticing that the hallway was relatively empty. my brows furrowed.

i looked down to one end, and i saw that there was a large group of people. they were all looking at something.

i quickly made my way over there. i tried to peek over everybody to see what was happening, but me being as short as i am, i couldn't. i knew that it was a fight though, from what everybody was saying.

"hey, who's fighting?" i asked some guy after tugging on his sleeve to catch his attention.

"you know billie o'connell and leila stone? billie said something about leila's girlfriend wanting to be with billie, and they just started going at it," he explained. his brows furrowed for a second. "wait, hey, aren't you leila's girlfriend?"

my eyes widened at what he said.

billie told leila? not only did she tell leila, but now all of these people know. i was nervous about only leila finding out about me cheating, but now who knows how many people know.

fuck.

fuck.

fuck.

i quickly pushed past everybody. i spotted billie and leila. billie had leila pinned to the ground as she threw punch after punch at lei's now bloody face.

it reminds me of that one scene in season two of euphoria. if you know, you know.

i braced myself before going over to them. i was, somehow, able to pull billie off. she was breathing heavily as she pulled out of my grip. she turned around, and i watched as her face dropped when she saw it was me.

the crowd around us started to disperse. i could hear some of the conversations about the fight; some people saying that it wasn't even a fair fight, how it should've lasted longer, or even some nasty comments about me that i'd rather not repeat.

"are you kidding me?!" i threw my hands up.

while the crowd was dispersing, somebody had helped leila up, who then pushed past us.

"she threw the first punch..." billie muttered. she reached her hand up to swipe under her nose, and she rolled her eyes as she saw that she had wiped away some blood.

"because you fucking— this is not how i wanted her to find out!"

"then how did you want her to find out? because you've yet to tell her," she shook her head.

"i was going to soon, i—" i started to defend myself. i tried to tell her that i was going to her house tomorrow to tell her; i had already made sure leila didn't plan anything for tomorrow.

"really? because it's been nearly a month since it happened," she scoffed. "you should've been told her."

i faltered at her harsh tone. i stared at her in disbelief for a before turning on my heels and storming off.

as i was walking off, i heard the rattling of the lockers. i assumed she had punched them, because it was soon followed by her cursing out "fuck!"

i spotted leila walking quickly down the hall a bit in front of me. i tried to catch up with her.

"lei," i called out, but she just ignored me. "leila, c'mon, lemme explain."
