Chapter 15

Matt's POV

"Ms. Giovanni is in ICU because she has a fever of 120.00 degrees and is dehydrated. She has a severe concussion from hitting her head on the toilet when she fell. You can go in and see her. She's responsive."

I got up and followed her to the room where Brooke was. I sat down in the chair beside her and held her hand.

"Brooke if you can hear me just know that I will always love you." She pulsed my hand.

"Brooke." Her eyes started to flutter. The monitor started to beep like crazy. I pressed the nurse button and they came rushing in.

"Mr. Espinosa we are going to need you to leave."

"She's going into cardiac arrest!" One nurse yelled.

"Rapid eye movement!" Another yelled which I knew wasn't good.

"Her stats are dropping." I walked out of the room and ran to my mom who was a doctor here at Woodbridge Medical.

"Mom." I said.

"She'll be okay sweetie. Promise." I let go of my mom and walked over to Dawson.

"Matt what happened."

"She was vomiting a lot last night. I went to school and decided I was going to visit her at lunch just to make sure everything was alright. When I got there no one answered. I called her a million times. There was no answer so I went in. I looked around and went upstairs to her room. She wasn't there so I looked in her bathroom. I found her laying on the bathroom floor. She had a weak pulse so I called an ambulance. I called you and that was it."

"Have the doctors said anything?"

"Yeah I just seen her but had to leave because she was going into Cardiac Arrest and had Rapid Eye Movement."

"Is that bad?" He asked.

"Sort of."

"How do you know so much about medicine."

"My moms a doctor (lol my moms a nurse.) so I hear about this kind of stuff."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

We sat down and waited for the doctors to come out and tells us if she's going to be okay or not.

Brooke's POV

I entered this white room.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Brooke my beautiful girl it's not your time. You need to pull through."

"Who is that? What happened? Where am I?"

"So many questions. She chuckled.
I am your mother don't you remember me."

"Mom!"

"Yes, and here is Noah!"

"Brookey!"

"Noah!"

"What happened? Where am I?"

"You hit your head pretty hard on the toilet and your sick."

"Oh, where am I?"

"Your at the line."

"Line?"

"Yes sweetie the line of life and death. If you choose the side of life behind you, you'll live if you choose the side of death in front of you, you can be with us."

"Oh."

"You better make a decision."

If I choose death I won't ever see Matt or my brothers again, and I will never have the chance to get married to the one I love and have kids, but if I choose the line of death I will be able to see my mom and Noah. I won't have to deal with the bullying anymore.
Okay Brooke you have to do this. Remember your doing this for you not for anyone else.

"Sweetie have you made decision."

"Yes."

"Out with it."

"I choose...........
