Chapter 17

I woke up the next morning on top of Matt. He was sound asleep. I carefully got off of him and sat down on my bed. I looked at the time 5:55 am.

"Ugh....."

I hopped back in my bed and went to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. Which meant it was 7:00, since I had school at 8:45 I rolled myself out of bed and went to downstairs to wake up Matt.

I kneeled down beside him.

"Matt, babe, it's time to get up." I said gently shaking him.

"One kiss and then I'll get up."

"Fine." I brought his lips to mine and kissed his lips.

"Now get up!" I yelled.

"Fine."

He rolled off my couch and onto the floor. He stood up and gave me a kiss.

"Want me to pick you up?" He asked.

"No, Dawson's gonna take me."

"Okay, see you later."

"See ya."

I closed the door and went upstairs to have a shower. After I got out of the shower I put on a blue patterned white bralette, a white maxi skirt with white sandals and my moms gold watch. I went for more of a natural look with the makeup and left my hair down.

I walked downstairs and sat at the bar stools and had breakfast.

"We are gonna have to close the pool soon."

"In October its May let's enjoy while we can." He nodded.

"You birthday is coming up." He smirked knowing I hated talking about my birthday.

"Yeah."

We walked out of the house and drove to school.

I got out of the car lifting up my skirt so I wouldn't step on it.

Matt came running up to me. He picked me up and spun me around.

"You look beautiful today."

"Thanks."

"Wanna go out later."

"Sure."

He kissed my lips.

"Thanks for the ride Dawson."

"My pleasure. See you after school." He said and pecked my cheek."

Matt and I walked into school. He put his arm around my waist. His grip tightened as the popular boys walked by.

"Damn girl. You lookin' fine today." One of them said.

"Nice ass." Another said giving my butt a squeeze making me jump.

Matt could tell I was feeling uncomfortable. His grip loosened a bit as he kissed my cheek.

"What the hell was that for you keep your hands off my sister!" A man screamed and I could tell it was Dawson.

"Dawson don't." I said running over.

"He doesn't need to touch you like that." Dawson said punching him square in the jaw causing him to bang against the lockers.

"Your gonna pay." He said pointing at me. I swallowed hard.

Matt grabbed my hand and we walked to class. I sat down and took out my books. After morning classes were finished. I met up with Matt.

"Let's go to lunch."

"Sure." He grabbed my hand and we walked to this little cafe.

We walked in and ordered. After eating we left.

"Wanna go penny boarding?" He asked.

"I don't know how to." I confessed looking at the ground.

"Let me teach you after school."

"Okay."

We walked back to school and it was math class.

"Test!!! Finals are next week people."

He handed out the papers and we started the test. I finished in 10 minutes and handed it in. Matt finished shortly after me. He drove me home and I got changed into something comfortable.

"You ready?" He asked.

"Yup." I said popping the p.

I stepped on the board and I moved causing me to almost fall but Matt caught me before I could hit the pavement.

I held o to him and stepped on the board again. I held onto Matt's shoulders and started to move the board.

"Matt don't let go."

"I won't."

The board started to move a little faster.
He looked at me for reassurance. He let me go and I glided down the sidewalk.

"How do I stop?!" I screamed.

"Drag your foot along the sidewalk!" He screamed back.

I put my foot down and it stopped.

"I did it!"

"You did it!" He praised.

We laughed.

"I wanted ask you something?"

"Ask away."

"Will you go to senior prom with me?" He asked getting down one knee.

"Yes!!!!" I screamed.

Senior prom was in 1 week. I was so glad he asked me. I couldn't believe that I would be finished high school in 1 week since finals were next week.

I went home and watched TV with my bro. I decided not to join the football team just because I didn't feel up to it.

It was getting late so I went to bed. Matt's tutoring sessions had finished and his grades improved dramatically. I was so happy. I walked upstairs and saw Matt working at his desk. He looked over at me. I bent down with my ass in the air to tease him.

From Matt:
Why don't you come over. My parents aren't home.

To Matt:
Nah. Your gonna have to wait till prom to get some of this apple pie.

From Matt:
Brooklyn you are a very naughty girl.

To Matt:
Matthew your a very naughty boy.

From Matt:
I love you.

I started to scroll through my photos and pictures of Noah kept popping up. Tears started to stream down my face.

From Matt:
Brooke what wrong? Why are you crying.

To Matt:
I just miss Noah.

From Matt:
Try to sleep. If you can't then call me or come over okay.

To Matt:
Okay thanks.

From Matt:
No problem night baby

To Matt:
Night maffew

I pulled down the covers on my bed and hopped in. I tossed and turned but fell asleep.
