"He really can't stay away from you huh?" Isabella chuckled. I rolled my eyes on her.
"Nah, it's not like that. He's just being annoying. " I denied and started going back to my job. Mom had also came back from the house.
"Oh, Isabela you're here." mom greeted giving her a hug and a warm smile.
"I was just helping Y/n with the flowers and from my primo Camilo too." they both giggled. Isabella gave me a teasing look while I stood there trying to get my attention into the flowers in front of me.
Sometimes I really hate this girl. I don't care if she's older than me.
"Was that true Mija? Did Camilo--"
"Yes mama, now will you please stop the talking? I'm trying my best to work here." I said, sounding annoyed every time they mention his name.
It's not like I hate him though. I like him, but not in a romantic way or something. We're just friends, but not like best friends. You know what I mean? argh, whatever.
Camilo's POV
"Well, someone looks annoyed." Mirabel suddenly came out of nowhere which made me jump and shapeshifting into random strangers and back at being myself again.
"Will you stop that!" I scolded.
"Stop what? I wasn't doing anything, anyway, what's with the mood primo? did you got rejected again?" she asks, wiggling her eyebrows.
"R-rejected? by whom? who would rejected the impossibly handsome Camilo Madrigal?" I said trying to sound a bit more confident than I already was.
"Uh, Y/n would." another voice butts in. Then I saw Dolores with a mischievous grin planted on her face.
Ugghh, here she goes again. Of course, she hears everything.
"I heard she threw a flower on your face." she says.
"Wait-what??" Mirabel exclaims and then burst out laughing along with my sister. Jeez, these two must be the most annoying people in my life. "I guess your impossibly handsome face didn't work huh?" she added and wipes a small tear that had come out from her eyes, caused from laughing too much.
"I-I was just getting started, just watch, I'll make her fall for me." eventually, I added in my mind.
"A little sisterly advice, if you weren't always trying so hard to impress her you wouldn't end up like this." Dolores says, starting to sound like Isabella. "Give her some personal space, Cami. You do know she doesn't like being disturbed, right?"
"Yes, I know, okay? I just... I just... I don't know what's going on with me. But you'll see, she'll fall for me." I sighed, not sure myself if what I said would happen. Just then an idea came to my mind.
"Oh, I know, how about a bet?" they both looked at each other, confused.
"A bet?" Mirabel repeated and I nodded.
"If i make her fall for me, you'll do my chores for a week. If i fail, then, I'll do your chores for a week." a smug grin formed on my lips. They both looked at each other and then back at me.
"I don't think so hermano, if she finds out that about this she'll be mad. I don't wanna ruin our friendship." Dolores shooks her head and so does Mirabel.
"Oh, come on, no one will know. Not even Y/n. If you keep your mouth shut, of course." I scratch the back of my head. "So? what do you say?" I asked once again.
It took them for at least 10 minutes thinking for an answer. "Deal." they said in unison. My eyes widened, i didn't know they would actually agree.
"But," I turned my head towards Mirabel.
"but what?"
"You only have two weeks to do it." she says which made my jaw dropped.
"Two weeks? why not a month or so?"
"Hermano if this carry on longer and she finds out, think about some things that might possibly happen. Y/n is our friend and we don't wanna hurt her just because we agreed to some bet." Dolores explains.
Well, she does have some point. I can't bother watching them become strangers too just because of me. But, it's just a bet right? what worse things could possibly happen?
I sighed, feeling defeated. "Deal."
