Bonus chap

A/N: This one is just a bonus chapter y'all. I hadn't been able to update this one the other day 'cause I was having a hard time to reset my password in this account. I almost cried 'cause I thought I won't be able to open this one again 😭. 
Anyways, back to the story. Btw, this is after Camilo and Y/n reconciled and Carlos went off to the forest to ease his mind. This is just a short one though.

The wind whistled through the trees as a certain shapeshifter in a red ruana walks pass by, twigs cracking as he steps on them. A heavy breath escaped his mouth as he leans his back on a tree nearby, feeling tired and breathless.

Beads of sweats fell down from his forehead as he wipes them off, breathing in the fresh air. He sat down on the pile of leaves, a smile plastered on his face when he sees the cat, Luna, who just came down from a tree. 

"What now? you won't scam me this time. I almost injured myself the last time I tried to help." he says as Luna purrs while rubbing her body against his hand. "You know I just had the best and the worst day." 

The furry animal replied with a meow as if telling him to continue. He chuckled and looked up at the sky. "The best day because I get to see my brother finally happy with someone," 

He breathes out. "and the worst because that someone also happened to be the one I like." He sighed and looked down, fidgeting his fingers.

Feeling his eyes getting warm, he knew tears were about to fall soon but he managed to stop them. Being done crying and hurt himself even more. 

He huffed and stood up, dusting a few leaves on his poncho and pants. "Maybe we should go home, Antonio must be looking for you." 

Fixing his hair by tying it up in a man bun, he let out a loud breath as he takes one step. "It's also getting dark and--AHH!" he stops mid sentence and yelped when something fell over from the tree and landed on top of him. 

Face flat on the ground, he lifts his head up to see a girl around his age with a silver knee-length hair covering half of her face. After rubbing her eyes with her hand and realizing what happened, she then quickly stood up and dusted off her skirt. Fixing her fine long hair, she looks down at the ground she had fall into.

Seeing, the shapeshifter still on the ground she lend out a hand and he gladly accepts it as he dusted off his ruana and looked at the girl who's staring straight at his eyes.

"Well, aren't you gorgeous."  she mumbled but he was able to hear it loud and clear.

He furrows his eyebrows and asked. "Excuse me, what?" 

She slaps her mouth after the sudden realization. "Oh-I'm sorry. What I meant was, are you okay?" 

He blinked mindlessly and scratched his nape. "Shouldn't I be asking you that? you literally just fell off a tree, you're lucky I was there at the right time." he says but whispered the last part.

"Uh, yeah, you're right. But uhm, I'm fine though. Thanks for saving my fall." she smiles, still her eyes looking at his. Not breaking the eye contact. "Your eyes, they're,"

"Weird?" 

"What? no! they aren't weird. They're actually beautiful. I mean like really beautiful." 

"Oh, thanks." he clears his throat. "I'm sorry, not really required but, you haven't said your name." 

"Oh, my name? uhm, I'm Liyana Martinez. Just call me Liya or Yana. And you are?"

"I'm Carlos, Carlos Madrigal." he held out a hand and she accepts it with a warm smile which he finds himself smiling from ear to ear.

"Madrigal, I think I heard it from almost everyone in the town." 

"You're new here?" 

"Uh, well, yes. Just moved in with my aunt and her Colombian husband."

"Where are you from?" he asks, getting intrigued about the new girl.

"I'm from the Philippines, just came here to have a vacation along with my little cousin and my brother." he nods his head. "Heard you're one of those people who have powers." 

"Yeah, my Abuela runs this town. But let's not talk about that. Why were you up in that tree again?" he pointed up.

"Uh, I fell asleep up there. I have this kind of disorder, I can fall asleep without any warning, anywhere, anytime." she laughs awkwardly.

His confused face turned into a worry. "You do know it's dangerous for someone like you going out alone, right? especially that you just said you sleep anywhere anytime without any warning." 

"I actually went here with my brother but he still haven't after I asked him to get my sketchbook." she bit her lower lip. "But uhm ,I'm fine. I'll just head home. Nice meeting you by the way." she smiled sweetly.

He smiled in return but then froze in his spot when she suddenly leans in and kissed his cheek, making him blush out of the blue. "See you around, hermoso." she pats his shoulder and walked off, leaving the shapeshifter dumbfounded. 

Watching the girl slowly disappearing out of his sight, he touches his cheek slightly pinching them, thinking he must be dreaming. "Did I hit my head over something?"
