The Sound Of Your Call

Drew was discharged a few days later due to his injuries healing well. he was laying in his bed at his house with nothing to do since he wasn't supposed to leave his house until his injuries had fully healed. He was bored out of his mind until he had a thought. he went online and looked at a couple items and decided on one. He ordered it and closed down his computer. he decided to play some games on his phone to pass the time. he talked with Jake a bit as well as liam and Henry. Jake came over to his house once and that brightened Drew's day a bit. after a 5 days of doing nothing, it finally arrived. He opened the package to reveal a Contra Bass Saxophone. these were apparently very hard to come by and they were extremely expensive. He picked it up and realised he had no idea how to put it together. 15 minutes of internet browsing later, he had his saxophone put together. He blew into the saxophone but all he got was a bunch of squeaky noises. He sighed. "This is going to be harder than i thought." He said to himself. He spent the next week and a half going through YouTube tutorials and searching the different notes. His parents heard a sound coming from his room so they went up to make sure everything was alright. when they opened the door, they were amazed at what they saw. Drew was sitting down, playing a massive saxophone. he was perfectly playing through "Hopes And Dreams" From the game UnderTale. he finished playing and smiled to himself. He noticed his parents standing in the doorway and he jumped. he hadn't heard them open the door. "Drew, that sounded wonderful!" His mom told him as she walked in and gave him a hug. He smiled and hugged her back. "Thanks, mom" His dad stood in the doorway with a smile on his face but said nothing.

A few Days Later.

Drew walked through the front doors of his school for the first time in a month, although it felt like longer. He had a heavy case on his shoulder as he went to his classes. During his lunch break, he didn't head to the cafeteria like usual. he walked down the hallway towards the music club. He hesitated before opening the door. As the door swung open, five faces turned towards him. He saw Hailey with a confused look, Luke with a confused look, Sean with an annoyed look and Milly and Zander with an angry look. "What the hell are you doing here, Drew?" Zander spat at him. Milly walked towards Drew with the intent to punch him in the face. Hailey grabbed Milly's arm. "Don't, Milly." She told her. Milly looked at Hailey, annoyed, and said. "Why shouldn't i? after what he did, he deserves it." Hailey looked at her and then looked at Drew. "He saved Jake from getting hit by a truck." Hailey said quietly. Milly's face went from annoyance to shock. "What?" She asked, not sure she understood correctly. The rest of the music club stared in disbelief at Drew. "Drew, did you really?" Luke asked him. Drew hesitated, Then nodded to confirm. Everyone stayed silent until Sean asked. "Hey, whats that your holding?" Drew took a second to realise that Sean was talking to him. "Oh, It's my Saxophone. That's actually why im here." Everyone was now stunned. Drew had an instrument? "Well, we aren't going to teach you so you can leave." Zander said, still annoyed that Drew was here. "Well actually, i know how to play, i was wondering if i could join your club." He asked them timidly. This was the third time that the whole club was rendered speechless. "You want to join the Music club?" Hailey asked him, not sure if she heard him right. "Yes. i know you probably wont accept me because of what iv'e done to all of you in the past, but please just give me a chance." He pleaded. Hailey looked at everyone else. Sean smiled and gave her a thumbs up while Luke nodded his approval. Milly said she was fine with it. Zander was the only one that disagreed. "Well, alright then. Lets see what you can do." Hailey told him. Drew didn't think they would let him play so he was caught off guard. he quickly assembled his instrument. after he had learned to play the Contra Bass Saxophone, he had decided he wanted to try a lighter sound. he then purchased an Alto saxophone and stayed playing that one. He took in a breath, and began to play. He played the entire instrumental of the song "Falling" By Blacklite District. After he was finished, he looked at everyone with a worried expression. Everyone, however, had a look of awe on their face. "He's AMAZING!" Said Milly with an excited look on her face. "Wow Drew. i never thought you'd learn an instrument. much less be that good at it." Hailey said to him. "Your in" Drew was taken aback by that answer. did they really let him in? He was so happy. He was so proud of himself. He wanted to tell Jake what he just did but didn't see him anywhere. He hadn't noticed that Jake had never been in the room. "Thank you, Hailey." He told her with a smile. "But, where is Jake?" Hailey hesitated before. "He hasn't shown up to school since last week." Drew was confused. why wouldn't Jake show up to school? He called Jake after school was over and found out that he was just feeling sick. Over the next few days, Drew practised with the music club. He got to know them all pretty well. Even Zander started to be less hostile towards him. He still felt bad about everything that he had done to them and was amazed at the fact that they had already forgiven him. They were practising one day, working on the song they needed for the competition, when the music club door opened and a Familiar face walked in.
