An Enigmatic Shock

The door opened and Jake walked through the door. He looked around the room and smiled. he hadn't been in this room for a while now and it felt good to be back. He looked at all the members of the club and saw Drew. He froze for a moment, seeing Drew standing there holding a saxophone. "Drew? What are you doing here?" He asked, appalled that no one in the club seemed to care that Drew was in the room. "Well, about that Jake" Drew replied nervously. Luckily for him, Milly Answered the question. "Drew joined the club!" She told him with excitement. Jake was now even more amazed than he was before. "Wow Drew, i never thought you'd learn to play an instrument." Drew smiled at him. "I was just bored having to stay home all that time so i decided to try something new." Hailey looked at the two of them and smirked. "Come on Jake. you've been gone for two and a half weeks. The competition is in a week. we need to practice." Jake nodded and picked up a microphone. He looked around at everyone in the band room. Its been so long and he hopes he wont mess it up. "Is everyone ready?" He asked. everyone nodded their heads. Jake began to sing the song they would be playing for the competition. He heard all the other instruments doing their parts and then he heard Drew's saxophone through all the other instruments and was amazed at how good he was. he was producing a nice, clean sound while also keeping his dynamic's on par with the rest of the band. he truly was a natural at that. They finished the song and the entire club started getting excited. "We Sound AMAZING!" Milly exclaimed, being the most eccentric one of the club. Sean laughed. "We do sound pretty good." Even Zander smiled for once. "Y'know, i think a saxophone fits really well with everything else here." Everyone stared at Him. "B-But i still don't like him" He Corrected himself immediately. Everyone started laughing at Zander as he fumed silently. Hailey walked over to Drew. "Hey, Drew." She said. He turned to her. "Oh, Hey Hailey." He responded. Hailey hesitated before. "I'm sorry, Drew." She said to him with guilt in her voice. Drew didn't understand. "Why are you apologising?" He asked her. She looked him Dead in the eye's. "I tried to attack you." She told him. He remembered this. After everything that had happened, that part of the encounter had slipped his mind. "Oh, dont worry about it Hailey." He told her. "Ive been a jerk to you guys for a while now. I pretty much deserved it." Hailey sighed. "I know but i still dont  feel like what i did was right." Drew looked at her solemn expression and had an idea. He stood up. "Then how about we just start over" He held his hand out to her. "Hi, my name's Drew. Whats your name?" He said with a humorous tone. Hailey stared at him and started to laugh quietly. "Im Hailey. Nice to meet you Drew." She said as she stood up and shook his hand. The rest of the club was talking amongst themselves so Hailey and Drew talked in peace. Drew had actually liked listening to music at one point until people started bullying him. Jake was the same but he was bullied for singing. that was the reason they both started bullying the music club for their interest in music. "Wow Drew, i had no idea." Hailey told him. "I know Hailey. Im the one that never shared that story much" Drew replied. Hailey And Drew talked for the rest of the time they were supposed to be practising. Unfortunately, everyone was distracted and forgot that they had to practice. Hailey groaned in annoyance. "Well, ill see you later." Hailey said to Drew and walked out. Drew was left in the room as everyone else filed into the hallway going to their classroom. Drew was suddenly frozen. he didn't know why, he just couldn't move his body. He felt a shock through his spine and he flinched hard. He tried to take a step and it happened again. Whenever he felt the shock, he couldn't control his body. He called out to someone to try and get them to come in and help him, but no one did. He couldn't understand why this was happening to him. He kept trying to think of something but no matter what, he couldn't think of anything. Suddenly, the door opened and Milly walked in. She called over her shoulder. "I just forgot to grab my textbook." And turned around and froze. "Drew?" She asked questioningly. Drew looked at her and realised how stupid he must look. "Milly, i dont know whats happening but i cant move." He called to her. She got closer and started to laugh. "Cut the crap, Drew." She told him and gave him a shove. He stumbled forward and cried out in pain. He tried to move again after that but it was no use. He turned his head to Milly with a Pleading look. "Im sorry." She told him with a now concerned expression. He shook his head and looked down. Milly approached him and looked at him from different angles. "I don't see anything that could be causing you pain on the outside of your body." She told him. "Hang on. ill go get the nurse." She ran off, leaving Drew alone again. He kept trying to move but whenever he did, the shock caused him immeasurable pain in his spine. He heard footsteps and looked up to see Milly and the school nurse. She walked up to him. "Hello Drew, I hear your having trouble moving?" She asks him. Drew nods his head. She looks at him for a bit and says. "Im going to try and move your body by only moving certain parts at a time, is that okay with you?" She asked him. He nodded his head slightly. She moved his right and left arm a bit and he didn't feel anything. She moved his right leg a bit and then his left. still nothing. Finally, she tried moving his back forward and Pain exploded throughout his body. He remembers crying out in pain and then he blacked out.
