A Misunderstanding : The Music Freaks :

Guilty or not?

Drew spent the whole day pondering on what had happened today. he knew Jake had gone to the music room and he saw Jake leave, but when he saw Drew and the others, he ran off. Drew was confused and nervous. Was this really the right thing to do? He asked himself as he stared out the classroom window. After school was over, he looked for Jake. He found Hailey and Zander outside the music room. He walked up to them and asked, "Have you guy's seen Jake?" Hailey turned around and looked angry. "No, i dont know where he is and i dont CARE where he is." She retorted. Zander, on the other hand, said, "Maybe try the bathroom." And they walked off. Drew sighed. Atleast he knew his plan had worked. but, why wasnt Zander angry? He ignored it for now, and went to the mens bathroom. "Jake?" He called inside. He heard someone moving and then a stall opened. Jake walked out with a tear stained face. "H-Hey Drew." He said meekly. Drew immediately felt a wave of guilt wash over him. "Are you ok?" He asked Jake. Jake nodded. "Ill be fine." Drew didn't think what he did would effect Jake this much. "T-They kicked me out of the music club." He told Drew, sadness in his bloodshot eye's. Drew was conflicted. On one hand, he had wanted and planned this. he should be happy his plan worked. But on the other, He didn't want to hurt Jake as much as he did. "Im sorry Jake." Drew replied, faking concern. "Why don't we stop by a store on our way home and i can pick you up something?" Jake nodded. "Thank you Drew." They walked out of the bathroom and out the front door of the school.

Zander was still debating what he should do. He had seen Drew digging around in Jake's locker and Had seen him Climb out Jake's window. He knew Drew was the one to make that post on Jake's instagram. He looked at the post again. it read: "Another day with those stupid music idiot's. dont even know why i decided to join that dumb club anyway. Everyone in it are stupid and childish. probably gonna leave soon." If Zander hadn't seen what he did, He would have thought Jake betrayed them like everyone else did. He didn't know if he should tell the rest of the club or not. if he told them what he saw, they would feel guilty and try and get Jake back in the club. It would make things a lot different than normal. and if he didn't, Jake would feel terrible and the rest of the club would still be anxious and frustrated. he sighed and decided he wouldn't tell anyone. YET. if things got out of hand, he would let everyone know. He was the first to find out about the post since he was the only one, other than Milly, that had instagram. He didn't say anything about it. Milly showed the rest of the club the post at rehearsals. Hailey cried, Sean looked disappointed, Milly was angry and upset and Luke was just concerned and worried. When Jake walked in for rehearsals, that was it. All that pent up negativity inside of Hailey, just burst. If Zander hadn't stopped her, she probably would have beaten Jake senseless. He heard someone say something but couldn't understand them. he was lost in his own thoughts. "Ah, what?" He replied. Hailey sighed and repeated, "What do you think of Jake?" Zander was startled by the question and responded untruthfully. "He's and asshole. i knew he would do this, you just didn't believe me." Hailey sighed again and said, "I lost my temper back there. im sorry Zander, i should have controlled myself." Zander hugged her. "It's ok Hailey, everyone get's angry. its a part of life." She smiled and replied, "Thanks, dork." Zander also smiled, a rare sight. Hailey stood up and walked to her own room, leaving Zander alone to his thoughts.

Jake got home after school and froze. no one was home and the car was gone. He saw a note on the table. He walked up to it and read. "Im sorry Jake, but i have to leave. I probably wont be back for a long time and i hope you are able to take care of yourself. I have left the house and everything in it for you. Goodbye Jake, i hope to see you again soon." It was signed his uncle. Jake was confused for a moment, not wanting to believe what he had just read. and then, he burst into tears. after everything that had just happened, this is NOT what he needed. he left the house and, once again, went to Drew's house. As he was walking, he saw Hailey and Zander walking in his direction. He panicked and looked around. Hailey saw him and her expression changed from one of humor, to one of rage. She began stomping up to him but paused when she caught a glance of his tear stricken face. He looked at her with a sad face and took off running down the street. "WAIT!" She called after him and ran. She lost him after he ducked into an alleyway. She sighed. Why was she chasing him in the first place? Did she actually feel sympathy for him? She went back to her house without anything else happening and went to Zander's room to talk to him.
