TW: some cussing

------------------------

Elle stepped beside Whimsy and kissed her cheek, glancing around the hallway. Blue stood next to her, hoodie loose on his shoulders. "What are you two looking at?" Elle asked.

"Min and Stella," Whimsy said, nodding to the two. They were getting things from their lockers, which were only a few feet apart, but completely ignoring each other. They both looked tense, and they barely looked at each other, but when they did, it was glares.

This made everyone very confused. "I wonder what happened," Blue said, sipping his coffee. Stella and Min had been friends throughout their whole high school careers, and they did everything together. Min was always at Stella's debates, and vice versa with Min's art viewings. You barely saw one without the other.

When Stella finished grabbing her stuff, she slammed her locker and stalked off. Min's eyes burned into her back, before they too walked away in the other direction.

Elle glanced at Whimsy, who frowned, concerned. "I hope they're okay," Whimsy whispered.

That's when they noticed Caiman down the hallway, talking to Sasha, one of Min and Stella's close friends. She was explaining something in a hushed tone, while Caiman nodded sympathetically. They stopped at Sasha's locker, who kept talking. Eventually, Caiman gave her a gentle hug, and bid her a due, before coming over to Elle and the others.

He stopped at his own locker, a few away from Whimsy's. Elle came over to him and poked him. "What's up with Min and Stell?" she asked.

He frowned. "I'm not absolutely sure," He fiddled with his locker. "It sounds like they're in a fight. Sasha asked me not to say the rest of what she said," He got it open and grabbed his stuff. "Don't mess with it Elle." he added, before closing his locker and walking over to Whimsy. "You wanna walk to class?"

She nodded and smiled.

They left Elle and Blue alone.

"I'm gonna figure this out," Elle declared.

Blue glared at her. "Caiman said don't mess with it," He tapped his fingers on his science textbook. "You should probably just let them resolve it themselves,"

This made Elle laughed. "Pssh. I am gonna help them be friends again, just you wait," she grinned, pointing finger guns at him, then running off to her advisory. Sighing, Blue followed.

Tears pricked at Sasha's eyes. "Do any of you ever listen to me?!" the teacher yelled, slamming Sasha's papers on the table. "It's not that hard to understand this simple assignment!"

"Why are you yelling at her? She did her best," Min said. They were sitting near the back of the class, feet up on the table.

"Min. Put your feet down and close your mouth." Mrs. Walofski snapped. They smiled sarcastically.

"No."

Stella, a few tables away, pounded her hand on the table. "Just put your feet down!" she exclaimed, glaring at Min.

They jumped up. "Stay out of it!" they said, shoving their chair out of the way, eyebrows arching angrily. "Why do you always get into everyone's business?!"

The green haired girl laughed. "Are you serious? You poke around in every single goddamn thing anyone says!"

"Really?" Min exclaimed. "That's called caring about someone," they hissed, shoving their hands forward. "You always brush everything I- someone says off!"

Mrs. Walofski stepped forward. "That's enough!" Her voice shook the room, getting scared looks from most of the students. Min glanced at Stella, groaned, and grabbed their bag before leaving the classroom. They shot the finger at Stella as they left, and she returned it. "Good lord," Mrs. Walofski sighed.

Sasha was now crying. Mrs. Walofski noticed and gave her papers back. "You have the weekend to fix this," Her voice was stern but gentle.

Nodding, Sasha put the assignment in her backpack and wiped her face, mascara smudging under her eyes.
