Caiman scribbled in is notebook absently. His mind was wandering to literally anything else but math.

He was lucky though, because he sat next to Blue in this class. One of the only classes he had a friend in.

Except, he couldn't even focus on that. His mom thought he had a girlfriend now. And he was "dating" Elle? It made his head spin. As if his life wasn't hard enough with his dad across the country and his mom micromanaging his entire life to her ideals. Plus being gay, which would absolutely ruin his life if his mom found out.

He put his head on the desk. Thinking made his head hurt.

"You okay?" Blue whispered next to him.

Caiman peered up at the boy. "I'm fine," he murmured.

Blue stared at him for a minute, then gave up. He leaned onto his palm and sighed. "Alright. Would you wanna hangout this weekend?"

Caiman looked up in surprise. "Really?" he asked. "Yeah, I'd love to! Have you asked the others?"

"Mm," Blue hummed. "I was thinking just us. We don't hang out much,"

That made Caiman even more surprised. He smiled. "Yeah! Totally!"

Blue smiled. "Cool."

They both turned away, but Caiman grinned into his arms. He'd always wanted to be closer with Blue so that all four of them could hang out comfortably. And Caiman thought Blue was pretty cool. Very cool.

The bell rang and the two boys packed up. Caiman glanced over at Blue. "Where do you wanna go?" he asked. Blue shrugged. "Okay, I'll text you after school,"

Blue nodded and started to leave, then stopped and turned around. He flashed the smallest of smiles, then continued on his way. Caiman beamed giddily and tapped his knuckles together excitedly.

He followed Blue and Elle met him in the hallway. "What's up with you? Why're you so happy?"

"No reason." Caiman said.
