Chapter 12 (Thursday, November 15th, 6:33 am) Lyric and Troy laid comfortably in her queen sized bed both soundly asleep, nothing filling the room beside the sounds of her fan on low and Troys gentle snores. They stayed up until 2am last night having another one of those long talks, except it was Troy doing the talking and opening up this time and Lyric doing the consoling and reassuring. He absolutely broke down and apologized repeatedly for what he was convinced was his embarrassing behavior, so she held him in an embrace until he was calm and frankly exhausted from his sobbing and then they went to sleep, exactly where they laid now. Troy mumbled some incoherent groan under his breath that disrupted the silence as he began to stir around uncomfortably. He pulled the covers up over his chilled bare shoulder and upper back, but he obviously couldn't get back into a comfortable or warm position by the way he tossed and turned, groaning softly in discomfort when he once again failed to get comfortable. His constant movement and grumbles put Lyric inbetween the faint lines of sleeping and just barely awake, letting out a very soft "Mmm.." as she slowly resituated. She rolled onto her back and her head fell to the side where he laid beside her, Troy tossing himself onto his side to face her and bundling up near her, hardly 4 inches of space in between their bodies and faces now. She felt his heavy warm breaths repeatedly against her shoulder and lifted her arm up to rest on top of his pillow, gently playing with the ends of his hair. Troy let out a soft tired moan before he moved his body closer to hers which closed every centimeter of space between them, setting his head down on her chest and letting his arm fall around her waist. Lyric wrapped her arm around his shoulder and entangled her hand in his hair, resting her other hand over his arm that was around her waist. He strengthened the grip around her waist to lightly tug her closer to him and humming softly in comfort as he settled into her, her soft heartbeat and gentle breaths she drew in playing like a melody into his ear. Lyric ran her fingers through his hair in an attempt to help put him back to sleep, and Troy exhaled a deep breath of relief at the immediate comfort she brought him as she continuously threaded her fingers through the strands of it. Within seconds it had lulled him back into his slumber as she hoped it would and his body went limp against hers. Lyric drew in a relaxing breath through her nose and set her head against his, moving her hand down the nape of his neck and caressing her fingertips back and forth over it. They were both aware when this happened, but they acted like it hadn't when they woke up 20 minutes later.
(7:12 am) Lyric fried up bacon in a skillet while on the burner beside of it scrambled eggs sizzled in another, marinating in the butter that they cooked in. She flipped the pieces of bacon over one by one with a fork, the sizzling of the grease surrounding them growing louder each time she did..she quickly switched to the other skillet and grabbed the spatula that lie beside of it on a paper towel, prying them up from the skillet in one quick push to flip them over and around and breaking them up in to pieces. Troy came down the hallway with folded clothes in hand, watching her move from skillet to skillet, he smiled wide when she turned to look at him and returned his widened smile "Was the water okay? The temperature has been messing up a little, i have to get the water heater checked out." Lyric asked softly before turning back to the stove, setting the spatula aside on the paper towel again "Yes, perfect, thank you." Troy reassured her, "I folded the clothes in the dryer and threw another load into the washer, where should I put them?" He inquired and held them up a little when she turned to look at him, surprise completely overtaking her expression before a gentle smile appeared "You didn't have to do that Troy, thank you, um..just set them on the coffee table and I'll put them away later" Lyric barely got her words out, Troy chuckling a little with confusion written all over his face as he headed to the coffee table, she acted like she had never recieved any help before. "It took 3 minutes, its really no big deal" He reassured her as he set them down on the coffee table like she asked, "Well I really appreciate it..Breakfast is almost done, is scrambled eggs and bacon okay?" Lyric questioned and he gently smiled, heading over to her. "It sounds and smells perfect, thank you. But why don't you go ahead and get in the shower? I can finish it up." Troy suggested as he came up beside of her and Lyric turned to him, seeming unsure for a moment "Are you sure? I can wait until I get home after I'm done shopping for the stuff I need for dinner tonight" Lyric offered and Troy shut it down by shaking his head "No, Ly, you said when you woke up that you felt really gross and wanted to shower, go ahead, i've got it really." Troy insisted. The little nickname he had given her made her stomach flutter, biting back a smile as she hesitated for a couple of seconds. She began to nod and wiped her hands off on a towel that was draped over the oven handle "Thank you, I really appreciate it, everything's already seasoned it just has to finish up cooking" Lyric disclosed with a soft smile on her face and brushed her hand over his bicep as a sign of appreciation when she walked past. "Of course, have a nice shower" He wished her as he picked up the spatula she had laid down and continued breakfast for her.
