Chapter 18 (That next day, Sunday March 9th, 7:19 pm) Lyric and Troy had picked up the kids and returned home just a few hours ago, and set them up with a SpongeBob Squarepants marathon on the living room TV. Once they got them settled in they decided to watch Karate kid in Lyrics room, and to their surprise, not at all, they fell asleep in each others arms watching it.
Lyrics arm was slung around his waist and her head was nuzzled underneath his chin, her face buried in his neck. She stirred a little and a soft tired moan came up the back of her throat, which pulled him in between the lines of awake and just barely asleep. Lyric settled back into him and let out a content sigh into his neck once she was comfortable again, she gently set her leg over his, encaging his leg with her own. "Mm.." Troy murmured tiredly and set his head against hers, attempting to pull her closer into him which was impossible considering she was already practically on top of him. He was allowing himself to drift back to sleep, when it just occurred to him what was happening. His eyes flickered open as he felt her gentle breathing caressing his neck and her curls hanging down over his arm, her lower half trapping his in place. His eyes began to wander around the ceiling and the corners of his mouth twitched up in a smile, loving the feeling of her body desperately clinging to his for comfort. How can I get out of this without waking her up? He thought and hesitated for a moment because she was sleeping so peacefully but he began to attempt to gently lean back from her, her body immediately followed his making his movements pause. Troy reluctantly looked down at Lyric and her arm was draped around his side, her face was halfway hidden in his chest and a few messy curls hanging in the side of her face that he could see. Troy hesitated to fix her hair for her because he wasn't sure if he wanted to wake her yet but he quickly gave into his thoughts, gently threading his fingers through her curls and pulling them back, tucking a couple of strands behind her ear. He attempted to stretch out his lower half and failed miserably when she clung to him tightly, smiling softly at her persistency and pulling back the remaining of her curls. He pressed a gentle kiss against her forehead when he realized there was no sneaking out of this.
"Hey.." Troy whispered against her forehead and pressed another gentle kiss into the same place, leaning back a little. "Ly.." He said gently. She began to stir around a little so he began to weasel his arm out from underneath her, making her stir a little more and barely groan. "Baby?" Troy hesitantly mumbled to attempt to grasp her attention and her eyes reluctantly flickered open, although her face was grumpy. "Mm.." She hummed tiredly in disapproval and closed her eyes, opening them again after a couple of seconds and flashing him a gentle smile. "Hi.." She whispered under her breath in a groggy mutter. "We fell asleep." Troy observed gently. A soft smile spread across her face. "I can see.." Lyric murmured sarcastically with a hint of a smile and stretched out her legs. Troy rolled his eyes playfully and pushed his way over to the edge of the bed, throwing his legs over the side of it. " We should probably check on the kids and make dinner." He murmured and scratched over the back of his neck, Lyric hummed tiredly and watched him stretch out when he stood. "Good idea." Lyric remarked and forced herself up into a sitting position.
(8:04) Troy stirred around the spaghetti sauce he had thrown together in a pot while another pot full of noodles boiled beside of it. Lyric was setting out the bowls and utensils on the counter, preparing to take them to the table where the kids were sitting across the kitchen, doing their homework. Troy took a glance back at her over his shoulder to make sure she was still there and then scooped up a little bit of spaghetti sauce onto the spoon he had been stirring it with, turning to face her. "Taste?" Troy asked gently and cupped a hand a small distance underneath the spoon, offering it to her when she turned to look at him. She took a glance down at the spoon and then back up to him when she let out a short chuckle. "Don't shove it down my throat." She warned him and gave a threatening narrow of her eyes. Troy smiled. "Don't tempt me" He replied sarcastically. Lyric leaned toward him and allowed him to feed it to her, placing her hand under her chin just in case it spilled. Lyric licked her lips gently when she leaned back, letting the taste settle in. "Hmm..." She hummed while she thought for another moment, their eyes meeting. "Its really good, maybe a little sugar?" She said, sounding unsure of herself but a smile spread across his face, nodding simply. "Yes ma'am" He murmured while turning back towards the stove. Lyric rolled her eyes playfully with a smile still lingering on her face and grabbed the utensils and bowls, bringing them to the table and placing one of each in their spots. Troy removed the sugar from the cupboard beside of the stove and when she was done she approached beside of him, turning and pushing herself up onto the counter as he sprinkled some sugar into the pot. He nudged her legs apart with a gentle push with his hand and pulled open the drawer below her, removing a table spoon from it to mix the sauce together with. Lyric pushed the drawer closed with her leg and set her folded hands in her lap while she waited patiently for him to finish mixing it.
