Chapter 58

After two months...

"I want to feel them too!" Raelynn shouts and puts her hand on her mother's tummy.

Evie chuckles when she sees that the children are so interested that they can feel the siblings how they kick. She is sitting on the couch and all three children are beside her. Now all their hands are on her tummy. She is 4 months pregnant, but her baby bump is very big. Well, she has two babies after all. She looks like she's 6 months pregnant. And it is already quite difficult for her to move and her ankles are so swollen. But is worth it. In five months, she will hold the twins in her arms. She is waiting for them with so much desire. Nikki is just as impatient as her. Especially today because they will go to the clinic right now to find out the babies' genders.

Still thinking about her husband, she hears the door open and sees Nikki come in with a big smile on his face and sit on the couch next to her and the children.

"Hey, what are you doing?" He asks, taking his wife in his arms and looking affectionately at each child. 

"The babies are kicking!" Asher shouts excitedly, looking at his mother's tummy.

"Oh, really? Nikki asks, pretending to be surprised, and his gaze drops to the baby bump.

 "Put your hand on it, Daddy," Raelynn says, looking attentively at her father, her eyes the same color as his.

Nikki can't resist her daughter's gaze. He puts her hand on the baby bump and smiles, feeling the babies kick with energy. 

"They ate chocolate," Bryce laughs.

"I want chocolate too!" Raelynn says and gets off the couch and goes to the kitchen.

"Hey and I want chocolate too!" Asher yells and he gets off the couch and goes after his sister.

"Hey! Wait!" Bryce cries as he carefully gets off the couch and runs after his older siblings.

Their parents watch them amused, Nikki with his hand still on the baby bump. Now the twins don't kick anymore, they're probably asleep. 

"Are you nervous?" His wife asks him and gives him a curious and loving look at the same time.

"No. I'm not at all," he smiles at her and kisses her softly on the lips. "Why should I be nervous?" He whispers with his eyes fixed on his wife. 

"I'm so curious to find out what genders these babies have," Evie smiles broadly and puts her hand on the baby bump. "If there are two boys, Raelynn will be disappointed, but in time she will come to terms with the idea as it was when I gave birth to Bryce."

"Any genders have our babies, we will love each one equally," her husband smiles at her.

After a few hours...

Nikki holds her wife's hand as they enter the clinic. They can't wait to find out the babies's genders. Not that they have any preference, but they are curious. They had no preference for other pregnancies either. 

They arrive in front of the office where they are immediately invited and Evie is told to sit on the examination table and she does exactly that. She lifts her blouse so that the technician could put the gel on her tummy. 

Her husband sits next to her and takes her hand, both of them waiting looking like some curious children.They smile when they see babies on the screen moving their hands and feet with energy.

"They have so much energy," the technician smiles and moves the transducer. "Let's see... Everything seems fine with them. They are perfectly healthy. I guess you want to know the genders-"
