Your P.O.V
I could feel the cold air fill into my lungs, the sensation of the earth under my feet, the cool breeze brushing against my face and most of all, the endearing warmth of his hand on mine.

"As long as he's by my side... I really feel like... I don't need anything else..."

The sweet scent of nature welcomed a new start for me. It was dawn.

---------------------------------------

You smiled at the sight of Killua's back before you as he pulled you forward.

He stopped running all of a sudden to look back at you.

"So? Where shall we be heading to now?"
He asked playfully, a wide grin spreading across his face.

"I have no idea. It was you who suggested to run away from your own house, so I expect you to have planned something for the future, yes?"
You giggled as you watched him struggle to think of a response.

The fun atmosphere disappeared as you started thinking about the current situation.

"I'm still relying on him... I'm grateful to have him by my side, if it weren't for him... I wouldn't even be standing here right now."

"Is it really alright for me to stay like this? No, I think not. I need to be able to stand up by myself. I need the power to protect myself. I don't ever want to see him sacrifice himself for me again... I need to become stronger."

Killua was surprised to suddenly see a resolute expression on your face.
"(y/n)...?"

"Killua... I have a favour to ask. Would you please train me?"

He was startled at your sudden request.

"Wait, why?! You don't need to worry about anything... b-because I'll definitely protect you!"

He looked down and bit his lip, murmuring to himself.
"All you have to do is stay by my side..."

You smiled at him gratefully.
"Thank you, Killua... but I can't always rely on you! I don't want to see you get hurt again... and I-I want to be able to do something for you too! I want to become stronger."

Killua hesitated for a moment before he let out a sigh.
"My training's gonna be tough."

A joyful smile engulfed your face as you found yourself holding him tightly against you.
"Thank you... so much..."

A small blush crept onto his face as you hugged him.

"A-Anyways, you can't wear those ragged clothes forever. Let's go get you some new clothes before we do anything else."

You looked down at yourself to find your clothing torn and dirty.

"But Killua... I don't even have a cent on me."
He responded you with an impish laugh.

"No worries, I'll pay everything for ya."

You looked at him in astonishment, your eyes narrowing bewilderedly.
"Wait, you have money?!"

He laughed as he took out a wallet.
"You thought I would be stupid enough to leave home without taking any cash?"

You retorted with a wry smile.
"I guess I've underestimated you."

---------------------------------------

"Have you decided what to wear yet?!"
Killua asked impatiently.

"Didn't you know that girls are fastidious when it comes to picking clothes? If you nag too much, girls won't like you."
You said with a giggle.

"Oh shut up... it's not like I care if girls like me or not."
He turned his head away from you irritatedly.

"Just kidding~ of course you don't need other girls to like you, since you have me."

A faint blush rose to his cheeks as the words rolled off your tongue.
"Wha-"

You giggled again as you stepped into the fitting room.
"Of course that was a joke as well."

Killua felt annoyed and disappointed at the same time.
"Goddammit this girl, she keeps mocking me..."

All of a sudden, you pulled open curtain of the fitting room to reveal yourself in a white dress.

The dress was simple but you looked cute wearing it.
"So? What do you think? I picked the cheapest one I could find..."

A tint of pink spread across Killua's face as he gazed at you.

"Is she just plain adorable or is there something wrong with me?!"
He thought to himself as he blushed even more.

You tilted your head bemusedly.
"Killua?"

He looked away to hide the blush on his face.
"I-Idiot, how are you supposed to train in that?!"

You gasped as you just realised.
"Oh yeah... you're gonna train me."

Killua looked at you with squinted eyes.
"You asked me to, and you forgot already? Do you even have any motivation?!"

You laughed as you grabbed some clothing that's more fit for training.
"Of course, I'm counting on you, master."
