Destiny (Killua x Reader)

A ✕ Sleepless ✕ Night

You and Killua sat in silence for a full minute, the air between the two of you growing heavy, as if you both wanted to speak, but didn't know what to say.

You brought out the courage to break the silence.
"Come to think of it, where did Kurapika and the others go?"

"I think they headed off to the bedrooms. We should sleep too, it's pretty late. I guess it can't be helped, I'll squish in with Gon for tonight."

The two of you headed off to the bedrooms.

Killua turned the door handle furiously, but it won't budge.
"Wha- why is the door locked?!"

You looked at the bewildered Killua speechlessly.

"Then... I'll sleep with Kurapika. I'm the one who intruded here anyway. Killua you look tired, you should get some good sleep."

Killua quickly grabbed onto your sleeve.
"Wait-"

You turned around.
"Yeah?"

He let go of you and averted his eyes from you as he stuttered.
"Uhh... um... nothing..."

"Is there a way I can stop her from sleeping with Kurapika? Just imagining it fills me with rage. Ugh. It's not like I'm jealous of him or anything..."
He thought to himself.

"This door is locked too..." You fiddled with the door handle to Kurapika's room, but it didn't budge either.

"Huh?! Leorio's door is locked as well... what's with-"

Then it clicked.
"Leorio... that bastard..."

Killua clenched his fists. He looked like he was close to smashing the door in front of him into pieces.

"Killua that's not a very good idea..."

Killua threw his arms around his head and walked away from the bedrooms
"You can have the remaining bed to yourself. I'll just sit around in the lounge room till morning."

"But-"
He cut you off before you could finish speaking.

"(y/n), just go to sleep. I can handle a few days without sleep."

You followed behind Killua obstinately.
"If you're gonna stay in the lounge room, I'll stay there with you."

Killua sighed and walked towards you, your cheeks turning pink as he grabbed your hand.

Gripping onto your hand firmly, he started pulling you towards the remaining bedroom.

"Killu-" He gently threw you onto the bed and covered you with the blanket, then walked away silently.

"Killua wait!"

He stopped and turned around with kind smile plastered across his face.
"Don't worry about me and sleep soundly."

"How could I be sleeping comfortably on a bed when you aren't?"
You retorted, causing a small blush consume his face.

"Geez, I already said I'm fine."
He sighed, scratching the back of his head.

"But I-"
Killua cut you off.

"I said it's okay!"

"Then let's sleep together!" A deep shade of red rose to his cheeks as the words rolled off your tongue.

"H-Huh?! Do you know what you're saying? I'm a guy. You don't simply just sleep with a guy so easily..."

You looked straight into his eyes, the trust in your eyes touching him deeply.

"But Killua won't do anything right?"
He looked away from you and hesitated.

"I'm not sure about that..."
He muttered to himself.

Killua softly closed the door and slowly walked towards you as he silently put himself on the very edge of the bed.
"Goodnight..."

You flinched at the sight of Killua beside you. He was so close nearby that you could feel the heat emitting from his body.

His sweet smile, his warm hand, his endearing voice and his soothing presence. It all seemed so nostalgic, so heartwarming.

Everything about him just makes you want to be even closer to him.

It was hard to fall asleep, a lot harder than you had expected.
"Is Killua asleep already...?

"He was tired, just as I thought. He must have experienced lots of hardship before getting here."

You smiled as you stared at his sleeping face.

"Goodnight, Killua."
You whispered into his ear as you distanced yourself from him, turning your back against him.

What you didn't expect was that he suddenly embraced you from behind and nuzzled his face against your back.

The moment his face pressed against your back, you froze as you felt your face heat up.

You could feel your heart pounding faster as he wrapped you possessively in his arms.

You trembled in nervousness, inviting him to hold onto you tighter.

You laid on the bed motionlessly with only your face growing redder.

"(y/n)..."
Killua murmured in his sleep.

Your eyes widened in disbelief as you blushed furiously.
"D-Did he just...?"

You felt a tinge of wetness on the tip of your shoulder.

"Sorry..."
He muttered as a tear rolled down his face.

You held onto his hand and pressed it tightly against your chest.

"Killua... why do blame yourself so much? To meet you again after such a long time... I'm happy enough."

Your eyes were closed by then and you welcomed the slow drift into sleep.
