"Hm? You two were acquainted? Well, isn't that a coincidence!"
Leorio blurted out, completely changing the mood.

You and Killua refused to look at each other in the eye.

Kurapika looked as if he had just clicked what was going on.

"(y/n), could it be that the person you said who saved your life was Killua? How you said you want to become stronger so that one day you can find him again and-"

You blushed from embarrassment as this flustered you
"Uwaaaah Kurapika stop! Stop right there!"

Kurapika giggled.
"So it was Killua, huh?"

He turned towards Killua and kindly smiled at him.
"Well, didn't know you were such a hero."

Killua felt remorseful. Extremely remorseful.

"Hero? I... I don't even have the right to face her again. After leaving her alone for so long... how could I face her now?"
Killua thought to himself, gritting his teeth.

Leorio smirked to himself.
"Ohhh! So you weren't just a brat huh? Well I guess your looks aren't so bad for a kid so I guess it's normal for girls to be attracted to you. But hey it's still too early-"

Killua cut him off with a venomous glare.
"You're making her feel uncomfortable so shut up, old man."

You covered your face with a hand to hide the the faint shade of red on your face.

Killua turned his head to look at you. He was about to turn away until he found himself staring you.

"Dammit. She's even cuter than I had remembered. Not to mention she's become quite beautiful..."

As you looked up, he quickly turned away and blushed.

Leorio caught him gazing at you and smirked to himself.
"So that's how it was. I'm gonna have tons of fun teasing him."

"Oh yeah! I just remembered, this room only has four beds. I didn't know that Kurapika was gonna bring someone else along."
Leorio blurted out, all of a sudden.

"Then we'll go book another room for (y/n). We can't have her sleep with a bunch of guys."
Kurapika suggested.

"It's too late now... the register is closed. We'll have to wait until tomorrow."
Leorio replied as he checked his watch.

"Two people will have to share a bed just for tonight."

"How about Gon and Killua? They're always together, anyway."

Gon pouted.
"Ehhh? But if Killua and I share a bed, only one person will get to sleep properly."

Killua looked at Gon and giggled.
"Yeah true."

Leorio looked at them bemusedly.
"Huh? Why?"

Gon struggled to think of a way to explain.
"Ehhh well, one of us will get kicked off- or maybe both, since we're both untidy sleepers..."

Kurapika chuckled.
"Sounds like trouble."

Leorio smirked in Killua's direction.
"Then Killua, how about you sleep with (y/n)?"

Killua's face lights up in a bright shade of red.
"HUH? WHY-"

You sat there silently with a flushed face.

"Well, since the two of you had such a touching reunion, why don't you spend the night together and get accustomed to being close together again?"
Leorio tantalises, smirking at Killua.

Kurapika let out a sigh.
"Leorio, don't make it sound so lewd."

Leorio looked at him with an irritated expression.
"Then what, you gonna sleep with her instead?"

"I'm perfectly fine with that. Plus, she doesn't snore like you. (y/n)? Are you fine with that? If you're not comfortable with it-"

You shake your head rapidly.
"No no no I'm fine with it if it's with Kurapika..."

You blush at the thought of sharing a bed with Killua.

"She's fine sleeping with Kurapika, huh?"

Killua glares at Kurapika, then looks over at you.

"(y/n)... I wanna chat to you for a bit. Could we be alone?"

You were surprised at his sudden request.
"S-Sure?"

"Ooooo, let's leave these love birds together then. Or why don't you two just get a room already?"

Gon innocently tilts his head.

"Leorio, are we all going to sleep now?"
He asked, looking at Leorio bewilderedly.

"Gon. You don't need to know this."
Kurapika retorts solemnly.

You and Killua's face both flushed from embarrassment.

"Shut up... old-timer."
That finally ticked Leorio off.

"STOP CALLING ME OLD. I'M STILL IN MY TWENTIES!"
Leorio shouts at Killua aggressively.

"You look like you're in your forties."

"Killua, you know what? Go make out with your girlfriend now or I'm going to take her because she's obviously too good for an insolent brat like you who doesn't even know how to respect his seniors!"

Killua sighed.
"She's not my girlfriend. And she certainly isn't going to become yours. Just shut up already and let us talk, kay?"

Leorio gritted his teeth.
"Tch... this brat. I'll get him back. Kurapika, Gon, let's go."

Gon hurriedly followed behind him.
"Leorio, where are we going?"

Kurapika walked towards the bedrooms.
"Let's just go to bed. It's not that early anyway."

You awkwardly sat in the lounge room with Killua, waiting for him to say something.
"(y/n)... are you dating Kurapika?"

You flinched in surprise.
"Ehh?! No no, we're just workmates."

Killua didn't look like he believed in you.
"You seem pretty close for being just workmates."

"Kurapika... has supported me so much that I don't even know how to requite him. I want to be able to make him smile more."
You thought to yourself.

"I guess... you can say he's like a brother to me? He's always looking after me, I'm really grateful for it."
You replied with a warm smile.

His eyes widened as he looked down.
"I see... I have to thank him then. (y/n)... I'm sorry."

You didn't expect an apology.
"Why are you apologising?!"

Killua looked down guiltily.
"I'm sorry... for leaving you alone that day."

You looked at him with an affectionate smile plastered across your face.
"It's okay, Killua... I mean, we got to meet again, didn't we? This must be some kind of fate. Maybe we were destined to see each other again."

Killua smiled at you lovingly.
"Yeah... maybe."
