After a heartbreaking loss last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Class Of 1965 Arena to play the Dartmouth College Big Green tonight in Madison County. Mitch Benson and Justin Ferguson matched zeros in the first period so, we'll skate to a scoreless, first intermission tie. With 9:56 left in the second period, Tanner Palocsik scored to make it 1-0 Big Green. Benson and Ferguson matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, Dartmouth leads 1-0 heading to a crucial third period. With 6:56 left in the third period, Alex Young scored his sixth goal of the season, on the power play to tie the game 1-1. Benson and Ferguson matched zeros for the remainder of regulation so, we'll play extra hockey because of a 1-1 tie between Colgate and Dartmouth. With 4:35 left in overtime, Elliott McDermott scored his first goal of the season to win the game for the Hamiltonians 2-1! Colgate improved to 9-14-2 on the season and 4-7-2 in ECAC Hockey play!
