for context, this was supposed to be part of a book but i can no longer commit to that big of a project cause i'm entering my last year of high school next year so you could kind of guess that i'll be busier than i was in junior high school.

Loki was leaning in, getting closer to the sorcerers face. He didn't stop though, even if he knew what he was doing was against his own will but he couldn't help it.
It's been weeks since he's had feelings for Stephen. He didn't even believe it was possible for a person, let alone a God, to fall in love with someone within a short period of time. He guessed that it was Stephen's kind and caring gestures which had made him fall for the sorcerer. Or it was his lust for learning. Or even his skills on learning more about the mystic arts, which he also taught to the God of mischief.
When Loki's lips were mere milimeters apart from the sorcerer's, Stephen placed his hand over Loki's chest, making the God stop in his tracks.
"Stark, be here in ten." Stephen said, with a finger over his ear.
Loki's eyes widen in realization, comms. He discovered them when he had a disagreement with his brother, which led to Thor storming off and pulling out something from his ear.
Then a click of metal handcuffs were wrapped around Loki's wrists.
"Make that five." There was no emotion in the sorcerer's expression.
But Loki saw right through his facade. He saw sympathy, regret and pity in thse inticing eyes of the sorcerer.
The God was filled with rage. It was an understatement since he had let his guard down and put all of his trust in him. He actually trusted Stephen with his life, his patience and his heart. But unfortunately for Loki, it was all just a trick.
He never would have thought that the trickster within him didn't see this coming. He knew that there was something odd when Thor said that he needed to be kept in the sanctum to learn new spells for the benefit of helping Thor in battles. But alas, he was fooled. Pressumably by Stark himself.
The sorcerer finally stepped back from their position, dusting off his robe as if just being near Loki made him filthy. "I'm sorry, Loki. There was no other way..."
Though, his thoughts still remained on the betrayal. "So, you mean to tell me that what we had." He tried to stay calm but his nerves were getting to him. "What we... what we've gone through together was just a lie? A plan to lure me into the avenger's hands? I knew I shouldn't have trusted you! I knew..." Loki's voice got quieter. "I knew I shouldn't have fallen for you..." but Stephen still heard him.
The God almost lost it then and there, but he held in the tears, knowing that his tears won't help fix his broken heart.
The worst thing about all of this, is that Loki actually believed that the other genuinely cared for him, someone other than his brother. He finally felt that he had a chance that he could change because of Stephen, but that exact same person just broke him all over again.
Stephen looked at Loki with sympathy in his eyes. Seeing the God of mischief getting tricked should've been humurous for the sorcerer but, he wasn't finding this funny at all.
He couldn't handle it any more, he couldn't bare seeing him like this without even an explanation. "It did." Loki looked up from where he was staring blankling at the Sanctum's floor. "Every moment, every-every day that you've spent here, it meant something. It meant so much to me. You may not have felt it but I did. It meant so much to me." Stephen took a step closer to him, making sure his steps were cautious, afraid that he would startle Loki. "Seeing you happy around me was the best feeling I had ever felt..." he trialed off, "but the problem is... I promised Stark, I'd just do my job... no fooling around, just make you earn my trust then--" Stephen didn't finish.
