"Does this universe also help us out?"

Yibo POV

I opened my eyes a bit reluctantly and huffed when I didn't feel what I hoped to feel to my hands. I found my hand desperately trying to catch a feeling of Zhan ge beside me but was only met with the coldness sprinkled bedsheet. I got up and looked around seeing no one but my own self in the room. I awaited for any kind of sound or movement on the living room—yet I was only met with complete silence apart from my own hazy breathing.

Tightening the bathrobe draping around me as I was exhausted enough to not bother wearing anything else last night—I walked outside the room. As expected I only saw a deserted house which had morning light bathing it lightly. The hell? Where could he possibly disappear to?

Did he go to work? I denied the question because I was sure he said today was his holiday. Then...did he went to buy something? I shrugged my shoulders and went back to get cleaned and possibly ask help from his slightly oversized clothes.
I exited the bathroom hoping Zhan ge to be there too but again was met with no one but myself. Disappointed, I walked myself towards his couch and dropped myself to it with a sigh.

I completely had nothing to do other than stare at his brownish door handle, waiting for it to have any kind of movement. Abruptly, the ringing tone of my phone erupted in the background. Annoyed—I glanced at the ID. Not again..

I didn't know how much time I stayed there waiting or how much times I sighed—until my own patience ran out. Did something happen to him?
Was this what he meant..........
I snapped my head up when I heard the door handle shuffling. And then the person I wanted to see appeared. I wasted no time and wrapped my arms around him and was glad that to have his usual scent filling my nostrils.

"I- bo di-" He chuckled and that was my favourite chuckle in the whole wide world and I did not know why I was so clingy right now.
I broke the hug and punched him lightly for leaving without telling where the hell he was disappearing into.
"Ow, that hurt you know." He said while I rolled my eyes and made myself back to his sofa.
"Where did you go? Did you went to buy breakfast? Oh wait better, did you buy pizza?" I asked but eventually noticed his empty hands and his sudden stiffness.

"I- Uhm."

"It's okay but I have something important and definitely bothersome thing to tell you." I said remembering about the phone call I had.
"Same, but you can go first because ladies first you know." He said teasingly earning a smack from me.
" Ge ge...I have to move Shanghai with my dad."
I looked at his face anxiously. But he had no expression on his face at all. After a painful few minutes of silence with my nervous rapid heart beating—he looked at me with a pleased smile.

"Great!" I looked at him with my eyes widened as soccer balls. He let out a chuckle before continuing, "Actually that's what I had to say too. Like I just got a transfer to the branch in Shanghai of the cafe I'm working. I was worried to be honest and didn't accept it, but now guess we don't have a problem." He said smiling.

"Wow that's so cool. When do you have to start working there?" I asked.
"Uhm, uh from next week. It's a open offer actually so I can start working as soon as I can." He said making me sigh in relief.

I didn't knew to what god I had to thank him for this. So he just went cafe! Stupid me why was I so worried.

"Zhan ge promise me that you won't leave me."

He looked at me at my sudden statement—by surprise. "Why?"
"Just do it! If you aren't planning to leave me.." He gasped abruptly and turned towards my side.
"Of course I promise you idiot. Did you really think I would leave you." He said as I smiled widely at him and wrapped my hands around his shoulder and rested myself on his feeling consoled. I guess I just needed a reassurance.

"Maybe we can both go together I mean my dad won't bother as long as I come there with him probably." I said remembering.
"Aww do you want to be with me that much? Couldn't believe you were that same annoying customer who bothered me every single day before." I glanced at him with a frown as he still had that annoying yet hot grin on his face.
"So I was annoying huh?" I huffed—retracting my hands around him and tried to walk away. But as I expected he pulled me back while muttering a quick apology.

I rolled my eyes before hugging him again.
"I'm so glad that I didn't had to activate my plan B if you couldn't come with me." I muttered onto his neck.
"Oh, what is it?" He asked as he ruffled the hair strands of mine. "I was planning to give you sedatives and put you in a sack before taking you with me." I muffled my laughter as he gasped.

"You-"

I was happily making my way back to the house. Probably must be one of times I was actually happy to go there.

I was super glad that everything is going to be fine. Though I wish everything would be. Wouldn't it? I wanted to laugh at myself for being paranoid every single time for little things but I didn't knew why I couldn't do so. I looked up to see there was no moon nor stars visible on the sky. "It look so lonely as ever..." I muttered to myself—stopping for a little to look around from the sudden urge I had developed.

Even the lights from the streetlights looked dim making it more darker. The sudden flicker of street lamp next to me creeped the shit out of me as a yelp left my mouth. I looked at the light which probably got burned and not working anymore as I tried to calm down my fast beating heart.
"I should've just let Zhan he drop me."
But then realised that means he have to go back alone. "It's better for me to go alone. I wouldn't want anything to happen him anyways." I gathered the courage I had and started taking steps forward. The more I walked the more chills came up in my spine. I felt as if someone was behind me? I'm just imagining stuff.

I must've never been this glad to see my house in my peripheral vision. I quickened my pace and shoved myself inside the house. Dad was already staring at me from the couch as if he was expecting me.
"So..care to explain?" No not really..
"Good news! I'm coming to go Shanghai with you. In fact I'm looking forward to it, Awesome right? I'll head for a quick bath because I'm sleepy. Goodnight!"

I climbed up the stairs and came inside my room. I was glad he didn't halt me for further more question because if he did, I was afraid he would ban me to go outside. I mean that couldn't also happen if he hears what I did yesterday night. Not letting the grin growing on my face, I stared outside the window. I didn't knew why but a strong feeling had me closing the curtains as fast as I can.
