"Even if I kill the whole world for you, I won't see you again."

Jiyang POV (first and last of his
😔)

As the sound of the clock ticking kept filling the silenced room of mine, I glanced at the clock as if I was impatient.
If I recall it properly—I'm sure Zhan was shocked as I was when I first told him the news. Maybe it was that guessing of mine made me expect something would happen today though I didn't knew for sure myself.

Till this day I still remember how lost I was on roads without no one until master brought me in and trained me to this day.
When I first saw Xiao Zhan, I knew he was not someone who was like his father. It proved more when he tried talking with me. But I was his protector and that's what master said. So I didn't speak because it was also kind of an order.

I knew him since we were thirteen and until today we've never hold a conversation longer than few minutes. It would probably be him trying to talk to me most of the time. If someone asked if we were friends, I won't know how to answer myself. It was as if from inside we both knew we can count on each other.
That day for the first time when he left saying that he will never come back no matter what, I didn't try to stop him. Because I knew it all along but played all along.

Though master himself said to keep an eye on him, I was planning to do it anyway. I even managed to put up an act to master as if didn't knew where he really was though I knew it very well. Even Zhan himself said to me.
It only took me few months to not be able to check upon him and he was already dating. I mean even his dad himself started to speed up the process of bringing Zhan back leaving me no chance to delay it further.
Though I managed to give him heads up before things started to escalate to what they were today.

"Ge~ you have to let me buy those balloons which have lights inside them."
"Seriously Yibo..how old are you?"
"Obviously younger than you."
"You-"

I remember the last time I saw them both together and how they would start a random silly fight ending with each of them being all over the other. I guess that's all love birds are? I'd be single either way.

I've always been the watcher the third person who was not really in the picture but was there after all in behind the scenes. If anyone was in my shoes, I can estimate they might be jealous of the unneeded position they were in. But for me I was happy with the way I am. Even so I hoped I would've not bailed him today.

I heard a particularly loud sound which I already guessed must be Zhan. I ran out of my room, on to the place where I heard the sound.
There I saw Xiao with an outraged expression glaring onto his father or what he liked to call 'A pathetic excuse of a father'.

"What do I see? Are you finally out of your childhood delusions and came back to your consciousness?"
"What did you do to him?" Zhan asked ignoring the first comment of master.
"Who exactly are you talking? I don't remember."
"What.Did.You.Do.To.Him?'' With each word emphasised, I knew he is on the bridge of passing his patience.
Before Zhan could get a reply—a unwanted party intruded the scene much to dismay of mine. I expected Zhan would end it today. Maybe he still will..

"Am I interrupting a family gathering or something? But pardon me, Mr Sean you forgot what I told you to do.'' Haoxuan said as he entered with his men tailing behind him.
"And what makes you think that I forget easily?'' Master said again not bothering to think a step ahead and bother what will happen if he angered the other and his gang at this moment.
"Because I certainly know you are not that foolish. But guess I was wrong.''
"Oh shut up, I did exactly what you deserved you little brat. Who do you think you are to barge in whenever you want and top of that to ask me to bring you a boy for you?''

With a mere hand gesture, Haoxuan's men were aiming at everyone except their people which were present. I knew what I had to do and besides I'm born to do these things anyways. I glanced at the men who were aiming at us—Lying on the floor right now as I put back down my gun. I looked at Zhan who had his gun aimed at Haoxuan who had his gun aimed at master. Indeed an action movie worth scene.

"What are you waiting? Just shoot it.'' For my surprise Zhan actually tightened his grip on the gun and moved his finger close to the trigger. I failed to grasp what is he exactly planning to do because if I were him, I couldn't promise if I'd do the same.
He changed his aim abruptly and in an instant the sound of the gun firing erupted only flinching Haoxuan. I gazed at Zhan who remained expressionless as he watched his biological father fall onto the ground with a thud—blood flowing through his body.

We both didn't care when Haoxuan took the chance to leave. I was looking at Zhan who started walking towards me. For a split second I thought if he was going to take over the mafia but then again I remembered how appalled he was about all of this.

He gave me the gun before meeting my eyes with his own. "It's over." He uttered.
"Do you want to know where he is now?" I asked as he nodded his head.
"Shanghai main city burial." He gave me a final glance before proceeding to walk away.
That moment I knew everything is going to be changed and it was not the happy-kind of change I expected it would be.
