SAAB’S POV
I woke up that morning with a big bright smile on my face. I don’t know if it’s the thought that two more weeks and it’s finally December or if it’s the thought that last night, Mom told us that we’ll be spending Christmas on L.A with the rest of the clan or if it’s because Julius and I will be spending some time tonight or maybe all three.
I really have no idea, but I’m pretty sure that I’m in a good mood today, and nothing’s going to change that. Just as I was about to get up from bed, my alarm clock ticked off, indicating for me to get up. I woke up earlier than the clock today? Yep, totally in a good mood, I thought as I walked to my bathroom. I took my time taking a bath since it’s probably early. When I’m done, I turned towards my wardrobe and flicked through my clothes.
The cold weather’s already roaming around. Since it’s almost December, winter’s getting nearer, changing the beautiful autumn weather. So since it’s probably chilly outside, I ended wearing galaxy printed leggings, a black tank cropped top with a white cross in the middle and my pair of white docs. I also decided to bring a blue and white striped cardigan just in case. When I’m all done, I grabbed my bag, shoved my phone into its pocket and ran downstairs.
My whole family’s sitting at the dining table, eating their breakfast while conversing with each other when I arrived. I made my presence known by taking a seat beside my brother and greeting them all with a very happy ‘good morning’.
My mother looked at me sceptically, but my brother’s the one who commented. “Well someone’s in a good mood today, eh?” he said, grinning.
I gave him back a grin too. “Yeah. And no one’s going to ruin it,” I said.
Dad raised his eyebrow. “Even when I say we’re not going to L.A anymore?”
I dropped the fork I was holding, head snapped so fast at where Dad’s sitting it almost fell out of its place, and exclaimed, “WHAT?!”
That made everyone in the table laugh, and I sigh in relief. They were just making fun of me because of my happy mood, typical family. After breakfast, I asked my brother if he could drop me by the school before he head off to UNI and he gladly said yes. When we reached the door, I opened it while I’m talking to Kiefer and was shocked when I saw Julius standing, his hand up like he was about to knock on the door. I stopped in my tracks and just stared.
He looked at me, let his hand fall down sheepishly and say with a boyish grin, “I was about to knock, but I guess you beat me to it.”
I smiled, mumbling an apology. My eyes met Kiefer’s and I can’t help but notice his icy glare on Julius’s direction. When he met my gaze and I raised my eyebrow at him, he just shrugged. Kiefer and Julius bid each other good mornings, but I can still feel the tension in the air between the two. I have no idea what’s up though. And I am curious. When I’m about to ask him what his doing here, my brother beat me to it and asked him the question.
“I was just wondering if you’d like a lift to school,” Julius answered, addressing me the question at the same time.
