POV-Alex
While Willie was being told about my death, I ran into Luke and Reggie. I wasn't planning on being seen by Willie while his heart was being broken, so I stayedout of sight with my bandmates.
"Willie could see me," I greeted Luke and Reggie.
"Willie can what now?" Reggie asked.
"See me," I repeated.
Of course, they didn't believe me, and I wasn't going to prove it either. I couldn't bring that much pain to him. Not anymore than I already have. They filled me in on hat they've been up to and what they saw and what the cops knew. I felt horrible for not being there for my dad when he found out, but I also don't even know where I was at the time. I don't think I was at Willie's yet so I don't remember where I was.
Luke and Reggie said they were going to keep traveling with the cops, be there for their families, and learn more about the case. I didn't want to go with them. I wanted to go to my parents' house and make sure they're okay. I said goodbye to my bandmates and started my walk to my house.
While I was walking, I somehow knew a faster way to travel. I didn't know what to call it, but I just. . . Knew how to teleport. So I did. I teleported to the front door of my house. It felt weird, but it was efficient. I walked inside and found my dad in the living room. He had every picture of me he laid out on the floor. Some of them I've never seen. He was crying, which I've never seen him do. He would pick up a picture, tell the story to who I assume is me. And then put it down and move on to the next.
The urge to hug him and tell him everything is okay took over, but I was afraid to touch him. So instead, I sat down in front of him and had a one sided conversation with him. He was talkng a lot, I was replying, but he couldn't hear me. I could stay in this moment for hours, I just wish he could hear and see me.
I got up when he resarted all the stories. I decieded to go find my mom. I checked her office first, she wasn't there. So I went upstairs and checked her room. She wasn't there either. I don't know what it was, but next I checked my room. It was empty since I moved out, but I found her laying where my bed used to be. She didn't have a pillow or a blanket, but she was asleep there. I couldn't leave her like that. I walked back into her room, but this time I tried to open the door.
Surprisingly, I succeeded. I pushed it open, but then my hand went through it. The momentum I gave it pushed it open all the way, thankfully. I then walked to her bed and put all my focus on picking up her pillow. I picked it up, carried it three stepps, and dropped it. So I treid again. This time I almost made it to my room before my hands went through it again. I picked it up one more time and managed to get it underneath her head. Mainly because when I picked up her head I knew I couldn't drop it like I did the pillow. Next I had to find a blanket. I knew I left one in my room. It was my baby blanket and I wanted my parents to have it. I found it folded in my closet. I pulled it out after struggling with the door and laid it over her.
I sat on the floor next to her and just watched her. Creepy, I know. But I didn't know what else to do since she couldn't see or hear me. And she was asleep anyway. After a few minutes. I left and teleported to our apartment for some sleep.
POV-Reggie
After Alex left, Athena and Carlos got back into the car, so Luke and I quickly followed. Usually, we'd go sit with the person who just got their heart shattered, but Athena and Carlos seemed to suddenly be a time schedule.
"Jon and Lola Peters are next," Athena read off the list she had written down of our parents' names and addresses.
She gave Carlos the address and he drove there without a problem. Probably because the cops have been called to my house a million times. Once we got there, my stomach started twisting and turning and I felt sick to my stomach. Can a ghost throw up?
